Whatever. That’s what warranties are for. And I owned a e60 M5 for 11 years, the last seven out of warranty, so I guess I’m a thrill seeker.

Hats off your brave, electrical problems are the main problems with the make (all models suffer), many are handed back for a full refund and getting it, I just hope you get a good one.

X3MC vs the Merc. There will be some interesting comparison videos. It will all come down to the driver and how they launch. This was the same with the F90M5 and the Merc. M5 wins !, Merc wins ! Mostly for video sponsorship hits.

After 1500 miles, numerous Dragy logs, for me it will come down to the launch and driver.

Reading the Merc reviews vs my logs the two are almost identical in acceleration. The Merc will be more forgiving on a goofy launch and will win some races. If launched properly (Launch Control held for 2.50 seconds and 10.5 psi of launch boost), the X3MC will be equal or slightly ahead.

X3MC should handle better, but that is yet to be proven.

Great times to have these buying options.

Having a day testing the X4M next week with luck, should be interesting, the new M3 with the Competition engine will be quick.

Screw launch control. No one is going to be using it in the real world. What matters is what happens when I put my foot down in normal driving.

I think both of these cars are great but for an M or AMG SUV it has to be good as a sporty daily. The facelift AMG is gonna be hard to beat in that regard.

Here in the U.S. we don't get the "S" version in regular SUV form, just the coupe. When it comes to pricing, the non-S GLC63 is priced identical to the X3M Comp. If you want the S, you're going to have to get the coupe and cough up another $15+K.

Or you can stick to the 476HP version which will be slower than the X3M Comp for the same price.

They literally both trade blows. Very identical in terms of straight line speed, Low End TQ=AMG
Handling/Weight=M
Price/Leasing=M
Interior=Subjective
Exterior=Subjective

Overall if you run into a Stelvio QF, F-Pace/LR SVR, TrackHawk, GLC63S, etc at a stoplight, you're going to use LC. Other than that, I don't think it's that a big a deal.

My stock TTRS was neck and neck with a Model 3 Performance from a dig using LC. When I would not use LC, I would get gapped. The point is when you're "racing" you will use LC. If you want to just have fun, any one of these SUV's will do the trick and all offer something different.

I've definitely seen a few of these parked outside the local retirement home. The grannies race them to the bingo hall and back and on Sundays they're often adding upgrades or dropping them that extra few inches

You think you are kidding but we live down the street from a big "old money" area and all the old ladies have the top of the line sedans, the bigger the better. I think they just go in and ask "what is the most expensive car you have in silver"...

No I'm not going to use launch control and do stoplight races and neither should you but that's your choice. However, if I want to get in front of someone and change lanes off the line, I don't want to be lagging for 2+ seconds. Smash or roll-on the pedal time is waaay more important than launch control. I haven't driven any of these because I'm a year out on next lease but at least from a desk the GLC63 sounds significantly more liveable. The extra 25 hp in the M comp isn't that big a deal. These are 4500 lb SUV grocery getter dog haulers after all.

So you're saying I should stop using LC in school zones? It's going to be hard to break this habit...

I do agree that having the ability to floor it and overtake someone is more important than having a crazy LC 0-60. As I engaged LC once every 3 months in my TTRS.

That is why I have a Tesla Model 3 Performance on order. Zero lag, just floor it and it explodes off the line faster than cars actually engaging LC.

Ha, I had two runs from stop light to 60 yesterday barely got into LC before other car took off. There are places that it is pretty safe to do it and always a mustang, Magan, Challenger, Vette or a BMW waiting around to play.

Tune only, faster than a stock F90 M5 Comp....

I wonder what the GLC with a JB4 will run? Honestly, this new S58 engine is more impressive than I thought. Can't wait to see some 1/4 mile time slips.

Wonder what times it will run on 91 with the JB4? As I do not have access to 93/E85.
