Brake Life

Hello,
I'm ppicking up an X3MC this weekend and I'm debating getting ultimate care plus. I had it on my F80, but never used it. Only risk I see with the F97 is the brakes wear faster.

My selling dealer quoted a ridiculous markup on the plan, so I just denied them.

Has anyone had a brake job done or seen signs of wear yet?

Also, if anyone knows a good finance manager to purchase this at a fair or better price, let me know. Thanks!

Outside of one poster replacing his pads at 5k, I have not heard anyone complain that they wear quickly.

I believe the OEM pads are expensive (so I have read here) but unless you are an uber driver I don't think it is worth it. This is yet another money grab from the dealers.

The finance manager said to me "Well of course you are going to get the plan, it is a no brainer". Actually, I have a brain...no thank you

If I need pads I'll install them myself.

spta97, but you will never need to replace the brake pads on your X3M

Have them get you the brake maintenance only at cost.

I've had trouble getting anyone to budge. Do you have any contacts you don't mind sharing?

I fell for it @ $700 or $800, I forget. I have a 36K mile lease and drive a lot of city though.
