Some work today!

Installed the G01 x3 mud flaps. And BMW had to replace the trim piece under the roof spoiler.

BMW to my knowledge doesn't offer OEM splash guards for the M40i or X3M. Are those the regular X3 mud flaps or the aftermarket M40i ones from Ebay/Amazon?

Interesting - I was told there was not a version that fit either the X3M or the M40i.

I went with the ebay ones (here is my thread).

Not bad for $35.

Doesn't hurt that they appear almost color matched to your body too. I wonder what they would look like with more contrast like on donnington... Hmmmmm..

But the OP’s pics seem to fit fine?

I went the eBay route because the threads say they don’t fit but they look like they do in the OP’s

Thanks! I’m really happy with them as they blend in well but also make the car/Sav look more aggressive.

I just hope they don’t fade in the sun but time will tell. At $35 they are cheap enough to replace if needed.

I think he meant that I misstated these were for the M40i. When in reality, they are only marked as compatible with the G01 x3.

But for this forum board, (X3M specific) it doesn't really matter, both your and my option fit.

Ah! But these are for the MSport bumper and a different part number?

I read many threads stating the G01 will not fit the msport bumper which I believe the M40i has.

Looks great on yours as well!

I put PPF under mine as I’ve had these types wear away the paint. PPF was already on the front but I did a stop in the back.

That is not correct I'm sorry to say. The part number states not for Sport version bumpers including X3M and M40i.

Yes you can make the BMW OEM ones fit but another member has commented that over time dirt and grim get in behind them as they aren't a "matched fit" and scratch the paintwork.

Don't get me wrong I'm very happy you're happy with them but members need to be aware there are down sides to using the BMW OEM ones as they are designed for the standard bumper...

The rears fit perfect. Period.

The fronts need a slight trimming and also fit damn good. Way too much FUD here.

Not hard at all. Take the rear wheels off to really make it easier. But simple install.

The only FUD here is coming from you...don't present untruths that certain parts are designed for particular models when they aren't.

As I said I'm happy you're happy withvthe parts but get your facts correct next time please and don't mislead forum members.
