pre lci advice.

So far ive owned a 2010 x3 e83, and currently an f25 x3. Been looking at older ones again and seeing good deals on the 2004-2006 models with the m54. How do these stack up to the N52 version or the lci. Ive owned the lci but have never driven a m54 version. Which would you choose?

N52, and that's simply because of the added HP and the 6 speed auto transmission. Although, I might consider an M54 with a stick.

thank you for that response, believe it or not I just got rid of a 2017 x3 with the N55 and just didnt care for it as much as the I do the N52. My all time favorite engine. No such thing as a smoother engine, at least in my experience.
