New 2022 X3M Comp available in South Florida

As the title says, there is one unofficially available at my friend's dealership (I'm friends with the sales manager) so it won't show up in an internet search. It's dark graphite over sakhir orange with executive package. If anyone is interested, let me know. It's being sold at MSRP and I'll do what I can to sweeten the pot for anyone on the forums who wants it. PM me if interested.

Gesh, how times have changed. I bought my 2020 X3MC brand new on 5/2020 for 20% off MSRP.

A 2020, probably purchased in 2019, might as well be a lifetime ago in terms of changes to the car market.

I literally stated I bought it on 5/2020. I'm well aware the car market has changed, just wanted to add a data point where these cars were compared to where they're at now.

Anyone else thinking of saying "Show me the sales agreement" when someone claims to get 20% off a brand new M car‽‽‽. 😆. My neighbor told me he got a CRV EX recently for $24k……. Swore that was the deal and forgot about his $6k trade in credit 😆. I hope you got that deal, just seems too good to be true unless it was a demo vehicle

I like to give folks the benefit of the doubt, but I agree - $16+K is quite the haircut for a dealer to take.

Here you guys go. I have nothing to hide. 84,345 MSRP vehicle. Note I could have done better if I had BMW loyalty, which would have been an additional $1000 off. I will note that I just did the math and clearly my memory isn't what it used to be - I *only* got 18% off. Vehicle had 35 miles on it when I took delivery so definitely not a demo unit. Came with P4Ss too!

That's a smoking deal, dude. Almost $6K in rebates????

Why so cheap - existing dealer relationship? Like I said earlier, good on you! I'm jealous.

Also, MSRP of ~$84.5K and a sell price of ~$75K, is about 11%, no?

I assume covid and no one was buying so they needed to move it. Not really sure. They had 4 on the lot when I took delivery. BMW was giving 5750 incentive too so the dealership didn't eat it all.

You're missing the additional $5750 from BMW on top of the dealer discount. Sell price was $69,361.

I'm pretty sure rebates aren't discounts from the sell price - they're post-tax. Your screen shot shows that. $75,111 + tax = sell price of $76,975.

I believe rebates are money from the OEM to the dealer after the sale, which are credited to you, not a discount in the sale price. That's why they're shown under the "down payment" portion of the form.

Even at 11%, I have to assume that's well above average discounting for an M car.

This is the actual sales contract. Note sales tax is calculated on the 69k price, which is the final sell price.

OK, rebates are pre-tax, then.

Still, rebates are non-negotiable and available to all who qualify, so not part of the "discount", IMO.

Regardless, it's a great deal any way you slice it.

In the UK in 2019 20% was the staring point for negotiation we were all pushing £22-26k of list. There were a lot of us who got those deals.

Times have changed but I still managed a 20% discount on my new X4M but leveraged an armed forces deal this time around.

That blows my mind. There are domestic companies in the US where employee pricing isn't even that good.

The list prices over here are hugely inflated though, it's trivial to get a £10,000 discount from the dealer on the LCI without any sort of special treatment.

It is a little crazy that a similarly specced LCI is now £10-15,000 above what you could get a pre LCI for, sign of the times I suppose.

Wow. This thread has gone way off topic. Anyway, just wanted to update the thread to mention that a friend of mine is buying the car. Nothing like Rob's deal, but significant discount being a friend of mine and all.

Agreed, it's not apples to apples. Regardless, smoking deal and great find! Nobody is touching that today

Would this be a bad time to mention I saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico?

Ya, right. Prove it with a picture of your insurance policy. Sounds too good to be true.

Not sure why people are obsessed with proving others did not get an amazing discount or mansplaining why the discount is not a discount but a ____ (insert technical name here)

I got an all in 9.5% off on an LCI X3M (negotiated in June 2020) and I can't remember how many people came explaining to me what my deal was and wasn't, how the dealer for sure would f me over with fees (they didn't) when they had no clue about the situation…

In any case, good on you man, I remember seeing those deals and thinking how good it was at that time to be able to buy these beasts for such a great price. I was stuck with a lease so couldn't pull the trigger, but the prices were amazing.
