Debadge / rebadge

I always felt the giant rear badge was a little much. Noticed that the "competition" part of my M2 emblem was pretty close in size so I picked one up and used that part. Overhangs slightly but since that side of the M is straight I don't think it looks bad. Definitely cleaner.

Not gonna lie, it makes me think some X3 30i guy put a M badge on their SUV. Not a fan...

Yeah either leave it stock or de-badge completely. Too many posers with ///M badges ruin the name for real M vehicles.

Everyone with stock badges is showing off more than me then considering it's 3 times the size of the one I put on. 😂

Spent a brief moment at a stop light today next to my old mantra, the M40i. They had no idea what hit them...

Why would you take the Comp badge off your M2 Comp and put it on your non-Comp X3M?

I'm debating this same issue myself. Base X3M but hated the chrome X3M badge. Removed it and bought the black X3M badge for the Competition (wouldn't use the Competition part) on the trunk. Already did the black front and side grilles so thought the black X3M trunk badge would look better. Now I'm thinking of just going "naked" on the trunk. It is a very clean look.

Decisions, decisions . . .

To add to this, am I the only one who kind of likes the rear reflectors? I bought the painted rear reflector replacements from RGSport but now I'm not sure if I want to put them in or not. It seems that the painted reflectors stick out a bit to my eyes, as the paint never seems to match the other panels, especially on the Donington Gray. The reflector panels always seem to look a bit darker on the DG (just look at the pictures in this thread and it is clearly visible). Maybe I should have gone with those black mesh looking ones that IND is selling, though I can't believe they have the nerve to charge $120 for a set of ABS plastic inserts. At least the painted ones had to have a few coats of paint and clear coat applied to justify the ~$110 cost.

I like the rear red reflectors also, it’s only the damn front orange ones that I can’t stand. That said, there is a slight color variation for the fronts but much better than orange.

I don't mind the red rear reflectors, either. With the way idiots drive around here, I want the car as visible as it can be. Maybe they'll be less likely to plow into me.

Me likey stealth hitch. The lack of a tow hitch is one of the few shortcomings of this car, IMO.
