Carbon Fiber Strut Brace
Curious to know if anyone has received their cars with the CF Strut Brace. I read somewhere that after 12/19 all should be carbon fiber but my X3MC is a 01/20 and still aluminum.

It's an option to buy, not an automatically installed item. In Canada, it's a $500CAD option. I believe in the U.S. it's a no-cost option though. The CF brace became available as an option beginning Aug '19 I believe. The order code (in Canada) is 1MP. IND has one for around $1,400USD.

It seems like neither of the local dealers optioned it on any of their lot vehicles. If I was ordering I would definitely tick the box for $500 as it's one of those options that will always cost considerably more after the fact.

Yeah will be interesting to see if US 2021s have this as a cost or no cost option vs not at all. This would not influence my purchase but a nice bonus if getting a 2021.

Its only available as part of a carbon package option at £3,900 on the UK configurator site. You get few carbon exterior parts and interior carbon plus the strut brace.
You can get an Ultimate Package that has basically every option you need inc the Carbon pack but its £8,500.

I ordered it with my build (Canada) but the car is stuck in production due to the shut down/pandemic. $500 is a no brainer, I had the carbo strut in the M4 and loved it.

Is is a shortage thing or they just decided to cost cut? I see people not getting M seat belts when they should, now strut braces? WTF

I guess the US is no longer being offered the option. Still 1MP for Canada @$500.
