Don't say that - I only ordered mine two weeks ago…

What's the issue? Customs fees?

They showed as dispatched then a week later returned to sender . Then the last one the seller messaged me to say the curriers refused the package and canceled the sale . I ended up buying one from here https://car-wireless.com/. It was about £20 more but it's in the UK . It is the exact same one I have tried to order before as well

Have you received and installed it yet? Any issues with it, does the X3 cover still close with a phone on the charging tray?

This is the one I am using. Works well and looks/fits like it came with the vehicle. I am very happy with it.

Suspect it's one of those with a UK address that's actually someone's house/appartment, but the stuff chips from China.

The UK address quoted on the website looks residential.

Looking to get one of these. Can anyone that has one confirm if the BMW cover will still close over it?
I’m not getting a meaningful reply from the seller, there’s obviously a language barrier issue!

The cover closes in the one I got (see above). But it does 'catch' a bit when closing and needs a bit of a jiggle.

Isn't it just as easy to plug the phone in using a coiled cord and the female plug in that compartment? Why install another "contraption"? Works for me to just sit down and plug it in....takes 2 seconds....

It might not take long but we are spoiled. My OCD hates cables and cords dangling all over the place. It's just nice and clean to lay the device on the pad and let it charge. If I had to describe in a word…. Clean

It is also probably safer, as I do wonder about how well "certified" these items are.

Plugging it in every time you get in and out if the car is pain in the arse . Also will cause wear to the phone charge port. It has to be plugged in as AA kills the battery . My charge mat arrived today and looks good so will fit later . As I use wireless charging at home I never have to plug a cable in . If the BMW wireless charging hadn't been removed due to chip shortages then I wouldn't have to install another "contraption"? . But as the another "contraption"? Is actually a better wireless charger then no problems .

I also bought the Mi 20W Wireless Car Charger as it comes with a sticky mount .works very well.

So fitted my tray and works fine no issues and the tray closes though i never close it.

Did a charge test with it and it works fine though the mi one i have also does charge at twice the rate . But having both is simpler for me :-).

I have since routed the cables behind the trim so it looks clean now

I like Xiaomi Mi Car Charger, WCJ02ZM as it auto grips the phone as it has a proximity sensor . its also rated at 20W charging and its on sale at present on the Xiaomi website in the UK
