2017 X4M40i- Performance Mods Worth?
Hello Everyone,
I was wondering if adding performance mods such as FBO is worth doing on the M40i. I've read on the internet that we are nearly maxed out and you won't gain much from it. (I hope its not true). My performance mods that I wanted to do are Charge Pipe (VRSF) High Flow Catted Down Pipe (VRSF) FMIC (VRSF) Maybe a CAI, but online says that you can get the same results if you have a K&N drop in on stock air box. (If someone can confirm this too). After the parts I was going to get a BM3 stage 2 tune. Does anyone have this setup? Would love to hear your experience. Best regards, X4nub |

The car is not maxed out, trust me. I have the x4m40i and a 435ix. My X4 is stock and the 435 has BM3 stage 2 e30 and all supporting mods. I can tell you the 435 is faster than the x4.
To be honest, if I mod the X4, I would only do the charge pipe (not VSRF) and BM3 stage 1 93. Once you go catless and stage 2, there is just so many more mods that you need. I feel like stage 1 and the charge pipe for peace of mind will be plenty. The X4 is already pretty fast stock and is setup much better than a "base" N55.
