Has anyone switched out all interior bulbs to LED yet?
As title says, and does anyone got a list of all the bulb numbers?? I think the inside should match the outside having the bright white color as well.

Have a friend who changed out his interior lights on his 5. Liked it a lot, but apparently not as easy as I was hoping. Good luck with it. would be interested to hear how you like it if you take that step.

http://www.bimmian.com/25/CLR/ I don't know anything about them or anyone who has used them, but from what I can see they are for the F25 and are factory plug and play...and look pretty cheap!!! I'm thinking about ordering a set for one area to see how easy they are to use... First I'm going to wait and see if anyone has done this so that we can flesh out any "gotchas", but it looks like some people are already making bulbs |

I'll do some more poking around other sites to see if people did this and what they used. |

Yea I hear ya....and yes LEDs will set you back a few bucks? For real though how much did you honestly expect to pay? Did you think these LED bulbs were 2-3 bucks each? I've done this on 2 or 3 other cars and it's always a coupld hundred bucks for good bulbs.....if this is your first time doing it then I understand your reaction...36/pair is steep but I kinda expected it...its a couple hundred bucks

Is it just a cool looking color? That you can see things better? I'm intrigued by the idea, love the appearance of the corona ring daytime running lights, but have also always enjoyed the warmth and softness of the BMW ambient lights. A bit afraid to loose that. Impact of the LEDs nifty/nice enough to be better? Happen to have any photos to show the difference (fairly tricky to photograph, I imagine). The photos on the Bimmian page didn't really capture for me how it would look approaching the vehicle at night.

Nahoa: There is an example on the link above (http://www.bimmian.com/25/CLR/) where you can see the difference. I don't know if it's for me really. I agree with you that I don't really like the really hard and bright light inside (doesn't feel premium). I'll reserve judgement until I've seen it IRL.

Great if you want the inside of your car to look like a hospital

my frnds and i got LEDs from http://store.ijdmtoy.com/ and it was abt $60 shipped to Canada with full interior lights for our civics. Even it's another brand car, price diff shouldn't be THAT big right?

Personally I find bluish white LED on car interior made it kinda "cold"
I like the yellow lighting of the original one, it feels "warmer" and more luxurious.. especially on beige interiors. Then again, everyone has their own preferences |

I actually prefer the light from candles (beeswax preferred, but paraffin is OK in a pinch), http://beeswaxcandleworks.com/index.html but those are hard to fit in the X3 sockets and blow out if you open a window. Candle light is much "warmer" than the stock incandescent bulbs. Their life is way less than the typical LEDs rated 50K hours, however.
