I was originally week 36 but using the F12 trick revealed a production date of 9/20 which correlates to week 38. But then this week things just moved along, so it looks like they were able to pull in the production date by about a week.

Hopefully this potential rail strike doesn’t mean delivery trucks are are even harder to schedule.

Got a call today from my CA. Already moved into "Production Begins" status.

According to MyBMW - confirmed! Got a VIN #. And thus far, all features/options I want are still displayed. Need to do the "F12" thing, and maybe use Mdecoder to cross-reference. Just wanted to share this surprising news. May still be week 41 Production, but this seems like it'll be earlier?

Cheers~

Nice! The Mdecoder likely will not work until the vehicle has been produced (at least mine hasn't been working). You're on the right path with the F12 thing, with that you can see all your option codes and see your production date. This will be the date the vehicle is scheduled to be completed by. I'm expecting to see more status updates a few days prior to the prod date.

One more item you can do is request an updated Vehicle Inquiry Report from your CA which will give you a high-level overview of the major options still on your build. I noticed that 487 Driver Lumbar was added to mine when it went to 150 so I am hopeful that's what ends up on the car.

I did notice that a few builds were completed prior to the original production date. I'm hoping that's still the case.

My CA is hopeless. Zero extra effort and just replies with my order form and just says, "didn't hear anything" which is the reactive vibe.

Somehow my vehicle entered assembly this week and is now already at the dealership today.

The question now is do I have a mismatched black center arm rest? Someone else here and a 30i currently at my dealership have Tacora Red interiors but with black center arm rests

Checked F12. Prod Date is 10/03 at present. Puts me at the very beginning of Week 40. That's better than the estimate that "Genius" gave me on the phone last time, which was Week 41.

I legitimately think there is some supply chain or shortage problem with that or BMW is cheaping out on a few parts.

Fun fact - if you get standard leather on the M3 / M4, the door panels are now only black leather as opposed to the color of the leather of your car. They changed that for '23.

At the dealer now. Sensatec confirmed to have driver lumbar, no width adjustment. But I do have a black armrest for a Tacora Red interior.

PCD date set for 10/21, hoping a cancellation opens up something a bit sooner.

Check your production dates! I was lurking on the X5 forum earlier and saw a number of week 39 X5s moving up so I checked mine with the F12 trick and it moved up from 9/27 to 9/22!

Hopefully you other week 39ers are moving up too!!!!

Thanks Flippco! My production date is now 9/22 also! I was getting ready to go to sleep and quickly looked at the x3 forum from my phone and saw your message. So I had to get up and turn on my PC and see the good news for myself. I would have never fallen asleep if I kept myself wondering.

heads up boys - check your stock tire pressures... the stock tires seem to come overinflated quite a bit from the factory... mine were 41 vs the 35 recommended on the door panel... makes the ride more jittery and bouncy that it needs to be... slight adjustment fixes everything

I am just guessing BMW hedges the fact that most people never check their tire pressures and its better to over inflate by a few psi to be on the safe side if tires pressures go down.

is this due to tight scheduling or is this because this is what you wanted? i was going to do pcd and def couldn't wait a month until after production since my car arrived from SC in 2 days.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm surprised the dealer didn't catch it.

I may have a set of 20" run flats for sale in the near future. If you're within 3 hours of Minneapolis you might be able to twist my arm for delivery. Need to get those break in miles!

I go by the recommended pressure in iDrive, which matches the app recommendations too.

Not sure why the door and iDrive have different pressure recommendations, but iDrive takes into account ambient temperature, and you can ensure the proper tire size is listed in iDrive as well.
