Woohoo! I just checked mine after seeing this & mine is too! 🙌🏻 I may have checked it 9000 times today but it was still at order received. 😁

Mine is there too! Does this mean it stays in 112 for the next 3 weeks and then goes to 150?

Roger that. The build week is the intended finish date or start date?

what does prodDate here refer to (date when it starts production, or when it finishes)?

Prod date is the date it’s scheduled to be completed.

ETA, at least in my recent experience. Dev view (F12) showed 6/27 and it was completed on 6/27. Status went to 150 a week or so before.

My dealer in Maryland thought it would be there maybe a week later. I know a PCD would probably push it back a month just trying to get it scheduled. Too bad you can't just fly down there and pick it up from the factory. I'll learn the stuff myself. I've already used iD7

If you're in Southern CA you won't receive your car in a week after it leaves the factory. Vehicles going to CA travel by train, and I have been reading people say it has taken a month or slightly longer to receive their vehicle.

Good luck though!!

If your CA submitted your PCD paperwork right when you ordered, you would more than likely get a PCD date scheduled two weeks after production as the norm.

Don't listen to the CA saying the paperwork can only be submitted once you're in Scheduled for Production status. The sooner they submit the paperwork the better!

I emailed PCD to ensure my CA submitted my paperwork, they confirmed he did, and said a date would not be assigned until I hit 150. As soon as I hit 150, I emailed PCD to let them know, and then they emailed my CA with dates the next day. I reached out to my CA and he got back with the available dates. If done right PCD shouldn't add more than two weeks.

Edit: when PCD reaches out with dates, and you don't like the dates given you don't have to do PCD. There is no charge for declining and deciding to switch to normal delivery.

I'll check with him/them on that. I have the time constraint of leaving for Tanzania for a Kilimanjaro climb on 9/3. I suppose if on 150 day they could give me a date that works with my work and mountain schedule I could take it, otherwise just have them put it on a truck to the dealer. I also have the issue that I'm trading in my Jeep for the tax advantage and have to get it from Ohio to Maryland for the dealer. I could ship it, but that would negate most of the tax advantage. Also, I was at the PC last spring for my M4 PCD, last fall for my friends X3M PCD and this spring for MX1, and eventually again if my M8 ever makes it off indefinite parts hold and arrives. I suppose with some effort I could drive to MD and then fly to SC if I got enough time off work for it all. We'll see. We have bigger plans for the M8 delivery which include stopping in Atlanta for a Porsche driving experience on the way home, so I'd be ok skipping this PCD if I had to.

Lol. Still good tips.

My X3M friend pointed out that amazing as the experience is and as much as I love going down there and drinking the BMW Kool Aid for a day, there might be a point of diminishing returns at 5 times in 2 years. Say it ain't so!

I wish I had the opportunity to do PCD 5 times, I had to promise the husband that we'd keep the 45e for at least 7yrs. And out of all our friends, we're the only ones driving a BMW. Everyone else has a truck or some kind of off road vehicle.

Hey, an X3 is an off-road vehicle. Just a really nice one. That's the whole reason they do the off-road course there. They point out how all these people think they have bought a luxury SUV, but it's just as capable as all the other "off-road" ones if need be. But yeah, in general most people these days don't seem to care about cars so they are driving all the other stuff you are describing. I feel like the car enthusiast community is getting smaller and smaller compared to what it once was and BMW is certainly becoming less of an enthusiast brand and more of a, car for the people, but that's a whole different discussion.

We’re heading to Italy mid-Sep to celebrate our anniversary, so I feel ya on that! Given we’re up in the opposite corner of the US, I expect it’s gonna take until we get back to be able to pick up the new ride….
