Not too surprising considering the demand and number of days left in 22 production. Didnt ask about DAP, sorry.

I've had a M40 on order for over 3 months now. I'm next in line for production. My dealer told me Saturday that they didn't get an allocation for July production. So I continue to wait.

The dealer says BMW is only making 21 M40's nationwide this month! Only one in the Midwest!

August production will be for the 2023 model, with a $2,700 price increase.

My SA called yesterday and confirmed that unless something really weird happens, they are not expecting any '22 m40i allocations. They got less than half of their expected allocations, zero M40is, and also no M-sport SUVs. They also get no additional info from corporate about what's going on or what to expect.

Thanks for the update, that's consistent with what my CA has said. Hopefully things improve and we're able to get some of the early '23 builds!

Just did my daily checking of my production status, and my Scheduled for Production status has rolled back to being at Order Received status. Is this a common occurrence and has happened to anyone else?

I thought it was only $2150? Or does that include the options you selected?

I called BMWG to see what they were seeing in system; said my week 26 bumped back to week 27. Supposed maybe my garage status will reflect and change in a few days or next week back to Order Received.

Need advise. I had order my placed with dealership since April, but didnt get allocation so far. SA says I will be definitely get one from the allocations they get next month. Assuming I get allocation dealership gets next month in July, am I looking at model year '22 or '23 production? Should I try my luck calling other dealerships?

You will receive a 23. Expect delivery in Sept/Oct.

Ordered middle of May from dealer closest to me. Still no news from the dealer. 2023 is a no-go for me. I managed to secure a 2022 week 29 allocation last week from another dealer a bit farther away. Looks like it's time to get that deposit refunded from my local dealer.

Good that you found another one with an allocation, and getting a week 29 in June is pretty quick. Congrats. I got a week 29 production last month too.
Check with the local dealer as they usually don't charge the deposit until they get a production number; but either way you'll get back your refund.

No firm updates but I was of the understanding that 22 allocations were pretty much done. Another member posted that there were only a handful of allocations handed out last week.

Spoke to BMW genius yesterday & they said 2022 allocations are pretty much done. And he expected to see production for MY 2023 starting around August 22. Which is week 35.

Sold my 440i Grand Coupe Tuesday & I just received a phone call that I will be getting a 2023 allocation next week. It's going to be a long summer. 😂

Do they know that they are getting allocations for one next month or is that just dealerspeak for "we hope to get one next month"?
