European delivery time

Guys, is it worth it to pay 800$/700 euros extra to get my X3 made in USA or I can go with one made in South Africa (Rosslyn)?

I'm asking you this since the dealer gave me that option (its whole another topic why there is a price difference at all...) and I have to choose which plant should we pick up

US one might have those stupid reflectors.

No, it won't. It will be build for European specs without the ugly reflectors even when it's build in the US.

Like Ravenous666 it won't have them, it would be EU edition just made in USA.

My final doubt is made in USA or made in South Africa + Sensatec dashboard (its optional here) for the same final price

Got my SA build 2 month ago and absolutely 0 issues.

Sensatec dashboard and upper doorpanel is a nice option i also selected.

Turns out few other options are more expensive if is USA made as well, so end up ordering SA one today, including the Sensatec dashboard hehe (major one was the inclusive service for 5 years - 515 vs 1030 euros)

I didn't realise you could even choose these things let alone it affect the price!? Mine is USA built... And currently sitting in a port somewhere in the EU!

Its up to the dealer really, if he want to share this info with you or not. Also if one or the other plant would take 1 month more for delivery he might just redirected to it so you don't wait too long for your car. The only think that the USA one have which is missing (or lets say you have to pay extra 350 euros) in the SA one is DAB radio. The USA ones will come with it for free in the price, but personally I'm not interested in it, since its not supported in Bulgaria lol

As I was ordering the car one year ago, I was worried about the build quality. Back then, all the X3 were made in US, and there were many complaints here about the quality. It was made in SA (which I didn't now when ordering, dealer didn't know), and have 0 quality build issue after one year of ownership.

I've just heard some new from the dealer about car getting in production beginning of May. Can you guys who been down to this road give me an ETA what does this mean in terms of delivered to EU? Early June or end of June? This wait kill part of the joy build up during configuration hehe (but give some time for piggyback thinking about the 20i lol).

Usually it's 2 month until arrival at the dealer after build is complete.
