This. I’ve had my AA DP for maybe 2 months now and it threw a CEL the other week. It started throwing codes at first with no CEL, which didn’t bother me at the time. The only plus I see with it is less smell compared to catless and probably less likely to blow out the cats compared to cheaper catted DP’s out there. Too much of a pain do a replacement with AA and reinstall another, and I imagine that replacement unit would throw a CEL eventually as well.

I just got the AA DP on today with the FI catback. The sound is noticeably louder when reving and slightly louder at idle. I’m very happy with the sound finally. Hopefully it doesn’t throw a code since the install takes a bit of time. I’ll try to post videos at some point as a comparison.

i'm actually considering the reverse, leaving the downpipe, removing the muffler and installing 2 vibrants or like this guy, mini bullets: hard to tell if it's too loud, he also removed the mid resonator and installed a y pipe. it does seem to sound good, he did some in car driving as well. Just worried about chopping it up and what happens to the valve and what if it's too loud lol... maybe leave mid resonator and just install vibrants or bullets in the back with some quad tips while we're at it lol... just not sure I want to go down this rabbit hole sometimes it can be a slippery slope... but I also don't want to spend $4k on a cat back that is bascially a straight pipe into a high flow muffler when the same can be done all in for about $300-$400 lol.... any thoughts or anyone else tinker with the exhaust like this?
