If anyone hasn't deposited the $250 and wants to file a complaint with BMW, I learned these people here can help.

how do I know the $250 were given regarding the lumbar support?

Since they never explicitly stated what it was for, how can we be responsible for depositing it? That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I got my car on 14th. Got the Driver side Lumbar and Digital key (digital Key was initially deleted when I first placed the order). Storage package rails were missing but I believe they have been discontinued for 2023 models.

On separate note. Did anyone get the Tire Package? and think its worth it? They quoted 2800 and went down to $1972 but still seemed inflated. Only seems useful if I need to replace at least 4 tires and a wheel. I have never broken a wheel in 15 years of my driving. But not sure about this car. I got the 20" 787M wheels if that matter.

I initially got the tire and wheel and then cancelled it the following week. It’s an inflated price and it wasn’t worth it for me- I have non-run flats on.
I did go with the extended warranty for 6yrs/100kmiles. I’m going to look at the ultimate care +2 for maintenance in the next month or so.

BMW will cover a vehicle for a total of 7 years. All time and miles begin from the vehicle's original in-service date. This is the Platinum with no deductible. The options below will add an additional 1, 2 or 3 years of warranty. This warranty is good at any BMW dealership across the US.

60 months/75k miles $2750
60 months/100k miles $3050

72 months/75k miles $3300
72 months/100k miles $3750

84 months/75k miles $3850
84 months/100k miles $4400

If you wish to proceed with the quotes above, I will get payment over the phone and then DocuSign the contract to you. Then you are all set.

Kindest regards,

Christine Newman

And these are still marked up. I wouldn't pay any more than $1500.

If you don't need rim insurance, head over to Discount Tire and get the tire coverage.

Just curious, so what is not covered?
Will this be a case of bringing in your car for a part broke and they say well that’s not covered under your extended warranty.

Depending on what level of coverage you choose determines if it is inclusive or exclusionary. That information is available in the brochure and sample contract. Both can be found via Google.

Personally, I am not a fan of the BMW VSC. You are locked in to using the dealer network only. Get ANY service outside the dealer network, you had better have every shred of paperwork in your car and perform your service intervals at or before it is required. Certain companies that manage the BMW contract basically give dealers a pass on almost everything.

Doesn't the platinum plan include everything? Also, wouldn't it be best to have the dealer do everything?

No, it doesn't. I don't know of any VSC that covers everything.

This morning I received an official letter from BMW saying that my Monroney sticker was wrong regarding the lack of driver's lumbar support. They did not send a corrected Monroney sticker, but did explicitly state the $250 check was for the lack of lumbar. Except I have ventilated seats and do have the driver's (and passenger's) lumbar.

I'm keeping the check and applying it toward the $600 I spent for the rail retrofit and the who-knows-how-much I'll spend for the puddle lights.
