Yes from everything I have read here the x3 M40i's are hard to get allocations for. I got lucky & called on a day where someone had changed their mind & ordered a different vehicle & I was able to take over the allocation that was already in the system.

I got my allocation yesterday and production number.

Ordered one today. 2023 dark graphite. My guy told me 6 weeks max and I should have it. He's working on trying to find me an earlier allocation. Hopefully he can work some magic

How does that work? The dealer has build allocations for 10-8-6-4 week builds?

The allocation for the order I placed in mid August estimated a 10 week build, sounds like I got a bad placement?

M40i allocations are all over the board. The dealer I am working with will sometimes get 5 and then 1. Dealers can trade allocations with other dealers and that might be what is trying to be done. But parts seem to be the biggest reason for delay. A few of us with Parking Assistance went from 36 to 39.

Hopefully he wasn’t just blowing smoke up my ass. He said 6 weeks max unless he can find an earlier allocation. Maybe it varies by region? This is a New York City based dealership so maybe they have a few more allocations compared to a dealership in a smaller market.

No parking assist for me… had all those little things on my x3m and never really used them
