xHP ZF8 Trans Flash

Hello!

I am absolutely going to do this the moment it is confirmed for the X3!

My question is: Isn't the Trans in a F30 335i the same ZF8 trans that is in an X3?

Currently the trans flash is only compatible With 3/4/5/6/M135i/M235i (With N55). I was under the impression that our X3s with N55 have the same trans as all of those. (Also works on the 535i Xdrive) So having a transfer case seems to have no effect.

Any ideas regarding this? Are the transmissions different? I've already contacted them directly and I am waiting to hear back.

I wonder what is different on the X3 N55 ZF8 trans versus 335i N55 ZF8 trans

I wonder if someone can confirm if the M sport trans flash is different from the normal X3. The trans is way more aggressive in my X3 m sport than in my previous 335 sport with the same trans.

Can someone just try the flash and see where it goes? I have a feeling it will work with our cars, but I don't have mine this week.

It's locked by your vin. If your vin does not match it will not let you flash.

All the other vehicles listed are considerably lighter than an X5. I suspect that is why the transmission flash is deemed unsuitable for your SUV.

I have my trans flashed to sport transmission via Bimmercode and the shifts points are much higher than original flash. I wonder how xHP will feel.

From some of the 335i guys I've talked to they claim it really transforms the car. Trying to get behind the wheel of an xHP 335i soon.

I got an invite for the beta but I still have 3 years of warranty... so I'm still thinking about it.

I'm in beta. My Thor wifi adapter shows up tomorrow and I'll probably start out with the stage 2 map.

Debating if I should pull the trigger on this. I was accepted today just need to send them money.

I see that bootmod3 has a beta TCU flash for this as well and I already have that. I reached out to see how could become a beta tester for them.

Hardparker what device are you downloading the app to? I have a lap top and an i phone but it doesn't see to be supported.

The wife has a kindle would that work?

I reached to xhp but haven't heard back.

It looks like it's Android only. I don't think a kindle would do it. A cheap Android tablet would, though.

I just flashed the stage 2 map. Total install time was between 5 and 6 minutes. So far so good. Shift behavior is improved. Quicker, less "thumpy" shifts. More seamless and smooth overall. Just initial impressions. Will report back more later.

I just got accepted into beta as well, I was thinking about using an android emulator I have on my computer. I am not sure if it will work or not but worth a try!

just pick up a used android phone or tablet on ebay if all you need it for is this...just make sure it has the minimum version of android required by the app. I would stay away from the cheap Chinese "never heard of that brand" tablets you see, never know what you are really getting and returns to china is pain in the ass, if you even can return it
