Has anyone received and installed the arch guards/mudflaps yet? What's your impression on the build quality? Does it fit well?

Mine just shipped after ordering via the "group buy" 10% off code from 2 weeks ago. I went with the gloss as it matches the other carbon I have on the exterior as well as the AutoTechnik upper arch guards I have on the car. I'll need to decide whether I'm going to remove those or not once I receive the AP ones.

Now they are on sale for 15% off so cheaper than our group buy price. Kind of annoying but it is only a few dollars less. I think mine are scheduled to be delivered by the end of this week.

I heard that drilling out the middle is the preferred method if you have a right angle attachment but haven't seen it in action and me + drill could equal disaster.
It’s easy. If you don’t want to use a drill, use a pick and center it in the rivet and use a hammer. Doesn’t take much effort for it to fall out. In the rear, removing the wheel is unavoidable unless you have a 90degree pick and can get enough force to pop the center out

One would think the 'group buy' should have gotten a greater discount over what a seasonal sale could be at...

How much is this for USA pricing? Didn’t see on the site a changeover to American dollars.

Still waiting for somebody to fit these and come back with any fitment issues or problems.

Anyone?

Fitted mine, all pretty simple.

Instead of trying to push centre out of existing rivet it is easier to break top off old one with screwdriver.

Fitting is simple as!

Due to curvature of the X3M arch there is a small gap at some point between the guard and the arches, I applied some 3m tape to see if this was a better solution on the fronts and went without on the rears.

I will take some pics later to show comparison.

I have 20 extra rivets from eBay so I can amend fitment as required.

Thanks that’s great. Await your pictures. I’m thinking of just running these for the winter months to stop crud from the wheels. I was thinking of some of the eBay proper mud flaps for this reason but am conserved they’ll mark the paintwork where as these wouldn’t.

Maybe not the greatest installation of 3M tape on the fronts but you get the idea.

You can see the gap on arches for rears I think they would be similar on fronts if no 3M tape.

Sorry for orientation they are OK at source!

Look at that flak of MBB

Thanks for sharing. It was very helpful. AP mentioned there are a few mm adjustment could be made to the arch guard installation (more inward/outward to the car). Which option did you go with? Can't tell from the pictures.

I have them all the way out seems even when the rivets are locked in place I can with a little gentle shove move them as well so you can fine tune. Obviously with 3M in place they are a little more difficult to get right first time as the 3M bites hard on contact. Might remove fronts and refit without 3M to see which sits better!

Fitment doesn’t look great does it. That’s disappointing. I’m guessing they are completely flat before fitting? Might have been better being manufactured with a slight curve in them.

Think that's the problem no preset curvature just straight flat carbon. If I could install 3M better then gap would close. Need to find some black 3M and not grey..

The two pre drilled fixing holes being just everso slightly further apart would help shape them.
