I had my KW V3s raised and I LOVE them. The ride is so much better with these

I also had a JB4 installed, I LOVE IT. The three Dyno runs were with the car set on Sports Plus with the Transmission on 3 and Traction and DSC off. The three runs are with the JB4 Maps 0 (Not on), 1, and 2. I was in the passenger seat during the runs I also ordered an xHP transmission tune which is not installed yet.

These are next on my to do list, I'm just not completely happy with the MSS. Who else who has gone from MSS to KW V3s? Thoughts?

Yikes, this isn't very promising news. I am picking up my X4MC with MSS springs in 2 hours. Why aren't you happy with them?

Thank you sir! I really appreciate the feedback and glad to hear you raised the car. I am also not going for the full slam look, so I appreciate the updated photo. Did you have DD raise it or locally? I am in Dutchess County and trying to decide on where to get the suspension work done.

Completely off topic, but do you miss the 340? I still have mine (tuned/AT and on eibach/koni SA suspension) and other than the steering of the X3M I miss the old b58 workhorse...that said I have yet to really start modding the x3, so it will get there...lol

The ride is still pretty rough/bouncy — the MSS kit just doesn't have enough adjustability to comprehensively dial it in. It is an improvement over stock, don't get me wrong, but the consensus seems to be that the v3s are light years ahead. Aesthetically the car looks fantastic with the MSS but at the end of the day it's a just a fancy spring kit and it drives like one. If the v3s had been out when I bought my MSS, I would have gone with the v3s hands down.

I miss the manual in my f30 occasionally but that's really it. I modded the f97 the day I got the break in service done (tune and downpipes) and haven't looked back. I am still totally head over heels for this thing 🥰

Do you have the MSS set to max low? If so it's recommended to raise them up to roughly 20-25mm of thread gap to ensure optimal operation. MSS actually recommends this now on all of their guides. If you go max low they do start to ride a little harsh

Ahh ok. I do know what you mean though having had both. They are a great improvement from stock but you really are getting much more for the money with KWs

Thanks for inspiring me to go get my IND DG reflectors, sitting in the garage, installed...

That's the first.
I know that many whom complaining about bounciness is because they didn't set it up correctly.

All local guys that I've installed been happy with MSS. And that's with LA superior road condition.

Very nice setup! One of the better setup I've seen! The car looks so much nicer when lowered and making the wheel gap smaller!

Sorry for the late reply, I had back surgery 8/29. I had Detailer's Domain raise the car. I trust them completely. I am am also in Dutchess County.

No worries and I hope all went well. I have connected with Phil and KWs have arrived from r33_RGSport .

I wish I knew you were local. If you have not gotten an alignment, I highly recommend Del Hatt up in pok. Ask for Doug as alignment tech. One of few shops up here that does lowered cars all day.

I am 9 days post-op from an L4-L5 fusion and feeling much better. I used to use Del Hatt, but not anymore. I went to them the last time for an alignment and there was a scheduling misunderstanding and they did not care. I called and spoke to the owner and he didn't care either. They used to be my go-to. I went to The Shop in Strattford, CT and was thrilled with everything, including their AWD Dyno -- I WILL be back. Detailer's Domain and Phil are my #1 go-to shop for any services they offer!

I am currently using the initial settings that Detailer's Domain used. Phil will know if he is doing the install. My initial goal was to let me drive on NY highways with drainage grates without having to move to the lane without them. I did not get a chance to really enjoy much "fun" driving after my break-in service and after the JB4 was installed before my 8/29 spine surgery. I will need to wait 2-3 months before track driving according to my surgeon who owns a BMW M and knows how I like to drive. I really like the KWs, BIG improvement over stock and I don't miss the cars adjustable damper control which is not supported on my 2022 at this time.

Best of luck. If you get the suspension done, make sure to ask them to adjust the lights after.

I think my next mod is gonna be 12mm spacers.
