I am currently using the initial settings that Detailer's Domain used. Phil will know if he is doing the install. My initial goal was to let me drive on NY highways with drainage grates without having to move to the lane without them. I did not get a chance to really enjoy much "fun" driving after my break-in service and after the JB4 was installed before my 8/29 spine surgery. I will need to wait 2-3 months before track driving according to my surgeon who owns a BMW M and knows how I like to drive. I really like the KWs, BIG improvement over stock and I don't miss the cars adjustable damper control which is not supported on my 2022 at this time.
Wishing you a speedy recovery

Right on and Thank you...did Phil do that for you or did you have to go back. I have DIY'd in past, but I'm over it and totally forgot about the headlight leveling/adjustment.

Was just about to ask if you were running spacers. I'm on 12mm squared, but feel rear could be 15mm easy.

I didn't notice the lights were low until after I took it home, so I went back to Phil and he took care of it. He's got a solid team over there. You'll be in good hands.

As for the spacers, I'll ask Phil what he thinks. Anybody here have 12mm front and 15mm back spacer setup? If you do, what are your thoughts?

They were great. I am pulling the trigger on 15mm so will keep you posted. Front with 12mm is perfect imo

I’ve just went through most of the posts about suspension and the X3MC modifications. I think I racked up a collective 8 hours of reading and researching over the last week.

Thank you for your descriptive experience comparing stock to the KW V3s. Having just gotten the X3MC at first I wasn’t too bothered for the first couple hours of driving and then I was bothered for the following hours on a trip. The way back I think I’ve gotten used to the stock suspension. I will give myself until spring and a few thousand miles to see if I pull the trigger on the KW V3s.

That's awesome! I'm glad I could help. This thread was solely to serve that purpose and share my experience.

The stock suspension is a tricky topic. I think a big factor when deciding if you like it or not comes down to prior vehicle history. If you are used to very soft, plush suspension then I can see why it would be harsh or too firm. For me, having always done aftermarket suspension and sporty models, I really didn't mind it and thought it rode really nice.

You can't go wrong either way!

Similar to the BrockDM I think I have gotten used to the stock suspension and think it rides nice on the normal setting. Sport is still too stiff for me for in city driving though haha. Sometimes I wonder if changing springs or switching to coilovers would be worth it but don't think it's necessary when you already have another car money pit.

I am on V3s as well. The difference is pretty significant. Car is still stiff, yet more comfortable, meaning it feels more planted and less darty than the stock suspension, especially when hitting those damn expansion joints at speed, lol. Besides a tune, my best mod so far.

THANK YOU!
i have this EXACT same setup but in my x3m…. your cars seems like it’s a bit lower than mine but for some reason, i get a rub over large bumps or highways bumps when going fast in the rear right… do you experience any rubbing? have any height measurements by any chance?

Honestly, I would call/e-mail KW. It's going to be the best way to get a correct answer. That being said, I would imagine you can tow with them.

just installed mine and the shop used the recommended settings, it's still a little too bouncy, so I will just have to adjust rebound? or does the compression have to be adjusted as well?

Start with a few clicks softer on the rebound. Typically that's where the bounce comes from

What's the feedback on suspension travel with the KW's? Do you still have a decent amount of travel? Are you at all "bottoming" out? Thanks in advance. This looks like the best solution, i've only had coil overs once and it was on a 09 335 xi and it was good. I still have reservations for some reason though so any insight helps!
