I own a 2016 X3 28i. Has 45K miles. It recently started to sputter a bit when starting cold and makes almost like a loud fan sound on and off, not a clicking. (not a car guy so couldn't tell you where it is coming from). It isn't coming from the radiator fan, but the engine. It isn't consistent every start, but that noise still happens even when warm.

I read to start with the coils and spark plugs as an easy fix, but also read could be fuel injector issue.

Before I take it in, just wanted to see if this was a clear problem to fix. Thanks!
