Sounds like your Dealership is not addressing your issues.
Second opinions can be helpful if you have other options in reasonable distance to you. See what they say, and if you still have questions consider the BMW NA route. The more I read from different Dealership experiences, the more I realize how fortunate we've been over the past 30 years or so of BMW ownership. They can make or break one's sense of the BMW brand (as I'm sure Corporate is aware). But, regarding the Competition badge falling off, I wouldn't include that in a list of grievances to the consulting Dealership. Many of us spend a few minutes and take that off. It's simply got an adhesive backing. Inexpensive part replaced in a few minutes. Good luck and keep us posted. |

You should review the lemon law in your state. Most require the defect to directly affect the safety, usability, and/or the value
I don't think a paint issue on a spoiler meets that threshold |

I had a bubble in my dash and the only solution was to replace it. Car came back and they did an ok job. Was missing an obvious trim piece under the steering wheel and a few trim pieces on the dash and center console were slightly scratched. I was being super anal about it because the car had 1,200 miles on it. Then a week later I had a check engine light pop up and there were some issues with the emissions system which required a sensor replacement along with a valve on the fuel tank.
Sat down with the GM of the dealer and explained my position and disappointment. She agreed to make me whole on a new one with a $10K incentive to stack on existing ($6,500 that the time) along with a healthy discount. Point is you may not need to Lemon it if the dealer is willing to work with you. |

Great advice. Step one is to review the state's lemon law and then contact a lemon law attorney. Most will offer provide a free consultation.

Sounds like typical behavior for Bmw dealership.
Good luck with new car, also change dealer when new car arrives.
