Flush looks good on a car with a low stance but on an SUV because of the wheel gap it looks a little redneck.....to me anyway. It would probably look a lot better with lowering springs but at the end of the day beauty is in the eye of the beholder so as long as you like it that's all that matters.

Looks great! Can you post a picture from the side on the whole car?

OP looks great! I essentially have the same setup in the rear, 21x10.5 et35 and a similar front at 21x9 et17.

The only thing that surprises me is how many folks are doing the 265/295 setup, when the 255/295 version keeps the xdrive mathematically closer.

Wait I’m confused now and I did this math before at one point. Your above posting disproves your own point.

255/295 is closer then 265/295 as a percentage difference then stock.

Perhaps I shall sober up and take a fresh look at this in the morning.

Actually if you run that very same calculator for a 255/40r21 and 295/35r21 you will see the diameters are closer than a 265 and a 295. All good, to each their own 👍.

It is probably worth noting that nominal tire dia. is not always the same as that listed in manufacturer specs.

This is a very important point. The specs listed in my original post are based on the actual manufacture sizes, not universal specs for the tire sizes.

For those who have played around with F80 fitment you're probably aware that the width of Michelin's vary depending on the model (SS vs 4S0 for the same tire size. Let alone different brands. Thankfully we're not talking about the difference of 1-2mm between rub/no-rub like on the F80s.

I think the FF10 would look really good on an X3M!

Render.

Of course there was a lot of other cheaper and more simple solutions than this...but you know how the mod bug goes. I don't daily drive this car so dedicated winters weren't required. Hopefully this thread is helpful to others looking for a similar fitment. It took a lot of research and a leap of faith since others haven't fitted these yet.

OEM X3MC as delivered with

Front - 21x9.5 +31
Rear - 21x10 +39
255/40/21 F Sect Width: 10.2 / Height: 29”
265/40/21 R Sect Width: 10.7 / Height: 29.3”

HRE FF04 in their "Fog" grey powder coat. This fitment is for the F90 M5, but are load rated for the X3M.

Front - 21x9.5 +30 (Effective ET: 18)
Rear - 21x10.5 +35 (Effective ET: 30)
Pirelli Scorpion Zero All Season Plus
265/40/21 F Sect Width: 10.7 / Height: 29.3
295/35/21 R Sect Width: 11.9 / Height: 29.1

I opted to run Future Classic Spacers from IND because I'm a perfectionist and need a bit more poke than OEM. 12mm front, and 5mm rear. The wheels fit fine over the brakes without spacers.

Fitment wise, the top of the wheel sits just about flush with the wheel arch, but does not stick out beyond.

I'm very happy with how it looks and I can safely drive the car during winter including some light snow. I haven't had a chance to test spirited driving but can confirm that its no where near as terrifying as being on the Michelin's. I hate giving up so much performance during the summer so chances are I'll go back to the 4S's come spring.
Just now finding this thread so apologies for the bump of an old thread.

This looks amazing! Two quick questions:

1. How have these wheels held up over time? Especially the finish
2. Did you have a tough time selecting the Fog color? I'm looking at these wheels now myself and am kinda torn between Fog, Liquid Metal, and Palladium.
