I think that there were some posts further up about an error with the X3 Pricing Guide and that it was updated with HK sound. It's an $875 option on the X4 (Option Code 688). I'm sure it'll be available in the dealer system when you order.

There's a revised pricing guide that your CA should have which will have 688 as an option.

My M4 M40i started production yesterday! A VIN has been assigned. All about a week earlier than scheduled and a week before the announced start of production for the 40i. My PCD is scheduled for 9/27. Gettin' closer.

I was informed the same, but the car is at 5055 where it now has a VIN number and the parts are coming together ready for the build, week commencing 2nd September.

Still can't lookup my VIN on any site thus far until the car actually starts production, so will check again soon.

ETA for delivery is week commencing 21st October in the UK. Can't wait either!!

Are you sure you wouldn’t want to just upgrade to the M40i? The difference in price with the options listed is only like 4K, on a lease it’s only maybe a $30/month difference.

You’re making a very valid point. I am planning on modifying the x30 anyway the first year. A tune and intake exhaust will be what the m40 costs and still probably wont have the same performance.

I haven't been able to find a PDF online, but if your CA is reasonable, he/she should have no problem printing them off, or the very least letting you look at their screen. I threw mine out - otherwise I would have taken pics to upload.

If your plan is modify your 30i and spend that dough anyway, then go for the M40i. One test drive and you will be hooked, I sure was!! Difference is night and day.

Hi can someone help me out?

Is this build configured correctly? I for some reason feel like the packages require other costs? Executive on a 2020 M40i is only $4800? It doesn't need the ZX2 for $2350?

It looks like the Executive Package is priced with Premium, they just aren’t listing Premium separately. Executive is typically somewhere in the $2500 range. MSRP looks correct based off the options in your car.

The Exec Pkg ZPX includes ZX2. Exec Pkg is 4,800 on M40i, and 7,750 on xDrive30i.

Thanks for the welcome ! Don't have a delivery date yet but dealer said 6-8 weeks. In the mean time, I'll have to deal with the anxiety and angst of waiting.

This is also my first SUV, I6, and Turbo. Always had sports sedans/coupes.

Dynamic Damper Control (223) ordering confusion!

I'd like to get the dynamic dampers. Following either the online configurator or the build guide (PDF):
(1) You can get dynamic dampers by ordering the convenience package.
(2) BUT, if you get the Executive Package or Premium Package, you ALSO have to get MSport to get Dynamic Damper Control.

The above poster's experience at the dealership seems to agree?! Is this really correct?!

The build guide says "223 [Dynamic Damper] requires ordering ZCV [convenience] or ZM4 [MSport]." But the build guide also says, "ZCV cannot be ordered with ZPP [Premium] and ZPX [Executive]." The online configurator agrees: adding the Executive package removes the Convenience package and hence removes Dynamic Damper Control. If you have ZPX [Executive], the only path to dynamic damper control is to add MSport [ZM4].

The dynamic handling package (ZDH) also includes dynamic damper control (223), and the build guide says, "ZDH requires ordering ZCV, ZM4, ZPP or ZPX." That would suggest you can order ZDH if you only have ZPX [Executive], but following the exact language of the build guide and the online configurator, you can't! ZDH contains 223; 223 requires ZCV or ZM4; and if you have ZPX you can't have ZCV.

The online configurator follows the exact language of the PDF build guide, but the logical consequence of what's allowed/disallowed seems to me non-sensical and bizarre?! I would have thought there is a mistake, but the above poster says the factory would only let them order dynamic dampers if they also got msport?
