Interesting...Not that important, mainly just curiosity...

Next time you are in the car, switch it to Comfort and see if it closes the flap, or the other post is wrong and pulling the fuse does disable the flap control module.

I do prefer the ability to control via iDrive, but either way I am glad there are less invasive solutions than installing an aftermarket flap control unit.

Picked up an immaculate 2021 m40i the other day and got straight into coding all the silly features out. I was trying out the different displays but didn't like any of them because non of them displayed the drive mode except for the stock display. I went back to the stock display to find that the M40i logo at the top had disappeared
Anyone got any ideas on how to get it back?

Based on what I was able to research, in the prior iteration, it was possible but in the newer ones the Flap is controlled by the ECU directly and pulling fuse 203 has no impact on the flap control module.

I have a 2023 and also pulled the fuse. I also coded sporty on my car for the fake sounds to be piped through the speakers.

Crisis averted. I just reverted back to the original coding and it came back.

Hey everyone,

I've played with bimmercode a couple of years ago when I purchased my X3 (G01, 2018 production). Haven't used it since though and after a recent software update at the dealer, all the settings that I changed went back to default. Still had the app on my phone, but it was an older version, so the "headunit" section was greyed out. I updated the app to the latest version, and was able to gain access to the "headunit" again. Changed several settings (not only in that section) and all worked perfectly fine except the Welcome screen.

Previously, on the older version of Bimmercode that I had, there was just the option to change the start-up animation. With the recent version, there are 2 options - first one is to choose if I want a welcome screen or an animation, second one is what animation that would be. I tried every single option possible, and although after I apply the changes the system resets showing the correct animation that I chose, after I finish coding, lock the car and start it again, it reverts back to the Welcome screen (in bimmercode, it still shows that I changed the animation).

Anyone faced anything similar and knows how to fix it?

Thank you in advance!

I've done my first coding change: no seat belt chime at start-up.

After the update I got an error code about "stabilitrack" or "stabilization" (not sure). The error cleared after a couple of engine starts.

Are these kinds of error codes normal after coding?

Yes, absolutely. By the time I'm done coding(or uncoding) between all the chassis stabilization and etc. codes — the car should be just left to die. Really all the prompts should go away on the very first start once you get out of diagnostic mode.

I never had lifetime maps, but I did go to Shawn for full screen carplay (car already had carplay). Later the i-version of the car was updated for an unrelated issue and I was able to go full screen carplay via bimmercode. later added bootmod, so far no problems.
