Need help

I have a new X3 2020 (6 months).
The driver seat belt is not retracting back and also is twisted.
Am not sure if this calls for me to visit the showroom or something I can do on my own at home to fix this.

Usually to fix a twisted seatbelt you pull more seatbelt out to clear the twist. After that it should retract.

If the seatbelt is all the way out, and not retracting; then you need to visit the dealer.

To add a bit more detail: if you pull a seatbelt all the way out until the end, then nudge it just a bit more, it should retract. If it does not, something is broken.

Similarly, if you pull the seat belt all the way out, you should be able to clear any twists. If you think it’s still twisted at that point, something is broken.
