Delivery of X3MC and M340

Hey folks. Took delivery of the wife’s M340 on Thursday and I took delivery of this x3mc yesterday. They are awesome. Not sure what I’m thinking having two black cars.

Congrats! My F97 has exactly the same color combo. The M340 looks gorgeous, too!

Beautiful cars congrats. How does the sound and volume of the engines/exhaust compare when both in sportiest setting? Is x3m a bit louder?

Beautiful cars. The choice of black exterior color will create a new family activity: washing both together more often to keep them clean.

Any plans for winter tires since you live in Denver, CO?

Very nice! I've been looking at both cars myself and I think that the M340i is more practical for city driving. If I lived somewhere with better roads, I would definitely be getting the X3M.

The M340 is surprisingly quick

It seems the M340 burbles a lot more in sport plus. It's a pretty fun sound.
The X3M is meaner I supposed you could say, it doesn't quite burble as much but it's a great noise anyway.

Yeah, not the smartest move with two black cars. And yes, for sure I will be picking up a separate set of wheels and dedicated snows. We have a place in Estes Park and need to be prepared for the snow up there as well Denver. Probably a tirerack setup, so nice to be able to swap at the house and not worry about lugging them around.

Cool and congrats! I have both as well. M340i xDrive since August and X3MC last month. They are surprisingly similar in their performance with the X3M just a bit quicker, more sporty and responsive but not a huge difference. M340i is slightly more comfortable but I like the X3M seats better. You're gonna love both of them!

When you compare those two beautiful cars ... How much is the difference in mpg? Could you throw in a few numbers? :-)

15-16 mpg in the X3MC and 23-24 mpg in the M340i xDrive, both same type of driving. So pretty large difference IMO.

Nice garage!

m340 was going to be my next car after the 335d but the deals on the X3M made it a cheaper buy (UK). Plus i would have had to wait the touring version.

A drag race would be interesting............!!!!

Not sure but I do like it. The house was built in 1924, maybe something they did in that era. I love it tho, sure makes it easy to spray the floor and keep it clean.

Wow. Congrats, they're both beautiful. I can take a guess at what you were thinking, having owned black cars in the past. The color black looks amazing when it is kept clean and taken care of properly. But sadly when it is dirty...it shows everything 😔
