Full Screen CarPlay

Can anyone that has done this do a screenshot with Google Maps and/or Spotify?

I'm tempted but also don't want to lose split screen cover art...

so.......the moment I figured out how to move the ICONS to the main screen I haven't had the need for full screen Carplay. But I'm sure if you all use Waze its better. I like using the BMW Nav and turing on WAZE so I get police car alerts

Best combo for my Valentine 1 too

Lots of videos and images out there. Unfortunately, no way to toggle on/off easily.

Thank you. I subsquently did some more Googling and found some too.

Widescreen looks to be supported natively with iDrive 7. I wonder if it lets you switch back and forth with split screen.

Agree. Even if BMW gave this away for free, you would still always find split screen on mine.

Anyone know where i can get this done in Melbourne Australia. I don't have a enet cable or a windows PC so would just prefer someone to do this.

You can do it on a mac. Just pop in a usb stick, format it for fat32 (all of them come this way anyway seems like). Put the files on there, then plug it into your car. Its as simple as it gets!

Split screen to me is useless. Radio controls on the steering wheel ftw.

Thanks Almarretto. I will do that unfortunately the USB updates no longer work since the dealership updated my software on the car so I need to use an ENET cable.

Has someone without CarPlay, Enhanced bluetooth and wifi tried this? On the website they're saying, you only need a certain version of sw in the car.

I have none of those option but I've added the antenna and had full screen car play activated. I think it only works with versions N and O at the moment but don't hold me to that.

Apparently it will be the connection may be limited unless you keep the phone really close to the headunit. That said, I installed the antenna but left it coiled up behind the headunit and do get the occasional drop out if the phone is in my pocket. I think I should have ran the antenna down into the centre console as it's pretty long.

I don't believe adding the antenna gives you wifi hotspot. Just better connection for carplay.

Full screen looks so much better though.

i have an esys cable, what else would be required to get fullscreen airplay going? i wouldnt be able to do it on bimmercode expert mode im guessing
