Haha. Are you sure the squeal was from the brake? No the GF or Mom on the passenger sit when the DSC is turned off?

Thats the exact problem I'm dealing with as well. It'll go away for a while if you brake hard to a stop at around 50 mph. But yeah its stupid annoying.

Try doing a bedding procedure:

https://www.zeckhausen.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=6446_6443

I do this on all new brakes and it makes a huge difference.

I’m waiting to get past break-in before I do it on my X3MC.

Forewarning, I ran these on my B9 S4 and they were not great. No brake dust but the bite and pedal feel was incredibly underwhelming. After 1000 miles the initial bite was very very soft and I had to depress the pedal 30-40% before they would start to grab. I ditched them after that.

If you like the initial bite of the OEM pads, I would not get these. Assuming they perform similar to how they did on my Audi.

Did you bed them in first? That makes a HUGE difference in the bite of the pads.

I installed Axxis Deluxe pads on my 5600 lbs. truck and my E46 M3. They were less initial bite for sure on the M3 but more linear. I got used to them.

On my truck they were terrible and I took them off. Like zero bite at all.

The summer wheels (OEM 21"s) are not bad, but my winter wheels have so many nooks and crannies it literally takes me an hour to clean them.

ps: Does anyone know if this pad will fit the X3M?

Yes, they were properly bed before use. I switched to Centric Posi Quiet and they are significantly better. A little more dust but the bite is night and day.

My ultimate hatred is brake dust. Starting my auto career as a detailer really burns my ass having any brake dust. Now magnify it with A/M rims and it really shows IMO.

I'm all about dust free/less dust version

Hello,

just reviving this thread ...
If there is someone with access to the front pads on the X3M/X4M and
could compare measurements with the pad sizes below that would be great
Would be interesting to see how much the pads from the X3M/X4M differ
to these pads :

I wonder if r33_RGSport might have access to the measurements ?

Thx,
Jan

I use this to manage dust, regardless of brake pad type.

Clean the wheels, spray a light coat on and let it set. Works great to control heavy brake dust buildup. Does require to be applied after every wash.
