yeah, that's the only thing that's keeping me from purchasing these. Sounds amazing though!

I’m guessing you meant hydrolocked. I have had multiple cars that were bottom feeders for air. The C7 Corvette was one of them. The only thing you really need to watch is driving through deep puddles. Normal rain will not hydrolock the engine but ingesting a lot of water will. It will likely bend and twist rods since water does not compress.

Also don't forget we have turbos that will evaporate any water or moisture given it travels that far in the first place. Hydrolocking an NA car is much easier than hydrolocking a turbo car. As others stated though, don't WOT through deep puddles and you won't have any issues.

yeah I wouldn't worry about hydrolocking, even if it's exposed through the grill, it would require a a significant amount of water to just get poured into the intake. and if you're driving at speed through heavy downpour, it'll just get vaporized.

Totally newb question... but if you had this intake and you were washing your car (ie. spraying water into the grill and intake), is that a problem? lol

As long as you are not shooting water directly into one of the intakes, no, it won’t be an issue.

Hey! I think the planets are aligning. My son bought me a painted cover for my G82 so I will have the original to do this. Did you use those brackets supplied by RK Tunes?

Haha nice that worked out perfectly then. No additional brackets or hardware needed. Just a little modification to fit it in place and it snaps into the OE mounting posts
