Is there any protection or a stiffening plate behind the license plate?
I have the rho tow hook plate, the senor only triggers on a rainy day. Thinking about switching out but have no idea which front plate is good.

Its not stiff enough that if a car hits it it wont hit your bumper. FYI mine is installed wrong lol so it should be about 2 inches to the right. Sensors all still work this way as well tho so I haven't changed it yet. I love that i can just pull the pin to remove it and there is no trace or tools needed to do so. I live in nyc so I am destined to eventually have fucked up bumpers lol.

Does this look like the set you got?

Thats actually my X4M on their site haha

It doesn't trigger the PDC for me however, even when it rains. So it's been good for me.

Tow hook mount way to go, tbh I think a center mount makes front end look terrible, it just destroys the aesthetics of the kidneys and lower grills, imho.

Newby question

New here from Washington State, picked up a lovely ‘20 X3M. Front plates are required. Looking to go with Carbonio solution, but I have one question after reading this thread, what is LCI?

Thanks much!

Life cycle impulse. For our cars, it's MY22+. I have the carbonio and like it

Every once and a while it will trigger a parking sensor when parking or pulling out of a space. No issues with ACC while driving.

I really like the Skene bracket...It's the only no-front drill solution that has the plate in as close to an OE position and does not show black plastic hardware on the front grill. I used to run US Millworks on other cars and it is a great quality bracket, but I'm just personally over the tow hook offset look. If my car didn't already come with the Skene pre-installed, I would probably just run no front plate and pay the occasional ticket.
