No, you can't. You can only send the location to your car if you have BMW Remote installed on your phone and BMW Assist is enabled. Alternatively, you should have full browser on mobile phone to use Google map to send location to your car. Google map's send to car feature is not supported on mobile. browsers.

To expand a little bit, you can't send a map from your iPhone, but you can send a destination. Unlike on a PC or a Mac, you can't do this from a browser. You also can't do it from the builtin Google Maps app. The only way to do it is by using the free BMW Remote app.
In order to use BMW Remote you must have an active BMW Assist account. Your BMW Assist ID and password are needed in order to activate the BMW Remote app. Once that's done, one of the options on the Control tab inside BMW Remote is Google Local Services. Using Google Local Services you can find an address. Once you've found the address you can click on Send to Vehicle. It may take a few minutes for the address to get to your X3. When it is received an envelope icon will appear in the upper-right corner of the Nav screen. On your iDrive, select Menu, then Office, then Messages. Off the top of my head I don't recall exact the next steps, but you should be able to store the address in the car or navigate to it. |

This feature would be awesome. Im hopping that this would be available on the next iOS6 or the new iPhone 5 comes out.

Got this app yesterday and it works pretty well.
Question: Just wondering how this works. Does it use a cell tower or satellite signal? I ask this because I tried it with the car in a closed garage - no satellite signal in there and the cell signal is pretty crappy... |

My understanding is that it uses cellular data, but it is a slow connection and not 3g (let alone 4g). My guess is this slower connection has a wider range.
