Tire photos
Hey all,
New X3 owner and looking to ditch the run flats ASAP...I'm torn between the AS4+ and the DWS06+, both have amazing reviews so asking if anyone has photos of either installed on theirs if they wouldn't mind sharing? At this point I think it will come down to aesthetics! I've owned he pilot as4's on my previous Audi and loved the look, but I'm beginning to feel like the Conti's might be the preferred choice on here for the X3. THanks! |

Aesthetics
They're black, made of rubber and round. They are made to drive on not to be admired. |

Another couple of pics for you. They ride very smooth and quiet.

I agree with The.bands . Tire aesthetics is something I've never heard as a consideration when buying tires. This should be the least important quality of a tire.

I just got a 20" set of the Conti's for a car I don't have yet. The tread pattern is certified uber cool, and you can see it well in one of the pictures posted.
I did choose it based on the Tirerack ratings - but an uber cool tread pattern is a bonus.

OK I will take this one step further... customer surveys show that a significant portion of tire buyers are swayed by the appearance of the LABEL on the tire - yes the sticker on the tread that is removed or wears off almost immediately.

I went with the Conti's as they had such great reviews from folks on here and online reviews, they seem to strike the right balance between comfort, sport and confidence in the wet. I had them installed yesterday at discount tire, I'll post some pics when I get a chance but the brief drive home was a noticeable improvement over the run flats. No more crashing over uneven pavement. Very smooth |
