Spare Tire vs. Mobility Kit
I have an X4 MC on order (status 112) and wanted to make sure the trunk floor wouldn't be raised when I opted for the Space-Saver Spare (as was the case for some X3's a couple of years ago).
I wrote the BMW Genius and here is their answer: Qte The trunk volume for the 2022 BMW X4 M is 23.7 ft³. This does not change with the option for the space-saver spare. Unqte The Space-Saver Spare (order code 300) is a free option on the X3/X4 M, as is the optional Mobility Kit. The latter obviously deletes the spare.

https://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showp...3&postcount=14 My X4 (no spare) has a 8cm (3") drop inside the lip. Presumably the spare raises the floor level with the lip. |

my 20' x3m with spare, cargo floor is raised about 3"
brothers 22' x4m with spare, cargo floor is level with the gate threshold. I have a 22' x3m on order with spare, expecting the cargo floor to be raised. |

I stand corrected. I did not know the X4 had a flat floor in the hatch.

Now we really need to see the same pictures from a '22 X4 M without the spare. Will there be a difference?

Would be nice to see a trunk pic from a recently delivered X3M with the spare kit.

Something I did notice, they removed the latches in the trunk to fold the rear seats. My 20' has it, don't think the 22' will. Hopefully they still have the recline latches. Last edited by D808; 05-06-2022 at 10:22 PM.. |

I was lucky enough to find this one just delivered and not spoken for- I would have ordered with the mobility kit.

Thanks for confirming that the spare is still raised, I was about to regret my decision for ordering the mobility kit specifically to avoid the raised floor after reading the X4 comment above lol.

Here’s my 22 X3 MC with the spare. Sorry, my midpipe is in the back.
