I looked all over and have not been able to confirm - can someone help/confirm? Are these the right part numbers / best source for authentic gloss black kidney grills to replace the cerium on a 2020 x3 m40i?

It confuses me as to why the mirror caps cost so much more than the grilles. Also, the emblems/badges seem overpriced as well :/

I want to go black mirror caps but dang that's a lot of $$ for some painted pieces of plastic.

Anyone know if I can send iND my cerium caps and have them painted and sent back?

Pretty sure you could but you could also probably have a faster and cheaper turnaround time if you found someone local to do it.

FYI - for the folks on other threads that suggested that they come out easy - Well hi there He-Man!

One broke a tab coming out, and the other one I just ripped out with about all the force I had. It was a pita to get the old ones out.

Also - fyi : if you order from getbmwparts.com, the obnoxiously long standard (free) shipping times are completely wrong. I had mine in hand withi!n 2 business days. (MD to OH UPS, ground shipping)

Agreed!, the passenger side grill was a complete PITA to remove when I was changing mine.

They are not the same. The G01 version you link to is an after market replica version (Auto Tecknic) versus the G02 one you linked to being the OEM version. IND also sells the OEM version for the G01 at a higher price.

On a side note, members here have gotten the cheaper version and commented that it is of good quality.

I can also attest to the fact that the OEM version is great as well.
