RES exhaust with no valve

Just a small clip and pics of my new exhaust I had for about a week. This exhaust has lived up to my expectations 100%. Sounds exactly how I expected it and wanted it to sound!

It closely resembles the stock exhaust but entirely different in sound. I opted for no valve because I drive with the fuse pulled.

However, my perfect exhaust did not come without issue. The exhaust tip pipes were a tad too long ~2inches. It stuck out what seemed to be a quarter mile to me lol. It's ok though, it was better longer rather than shorter to where I can cut it to my preferred length.

Other than that, fitment is spot on. I spent more time than I should on adjusting my tips and muffler to be even. It was hanging a little low on the right side.

This exhaust is not for the faint of ears. IT IS LOUD under load! But it is a sweet symphony to my ears...

Your exhaust tips looks even longer then mine, I did cut it too. Also sounds different to mine, maybe because you got a catless DP ?
By the way, how much you got it in total with shipping?

I cut it down to be aesthetically tolerable but also in preparations for an aftermarket diffuser. May or may not cut it some more.

Your exhaust did come with a resonator. Mine is a y-pipe. I looked into the piping inside of the muffler and it was pretty much straight through with a few perforations to muffle. Catless would definitely make it sound different.

Yeah, not sure how I feel about this mod. M Performance exhaust with Mid-pipe still sounds the best to me. I opted for the DINAN exhaust on the X3m and left the M performance exhaust with the DINAN mid-pipe on my wifes x3m40i. This sounds raspy and tinny to me. Also, tips stick out too much for my taste and my OCD. Glad you are happy with it as thats all that matters. Enjoy

Raspy and tinny!? Those are fightin words! lol

To each their own. I also dislike the rasp and tin noises. I'll update later with a more proper video outside my garage...away from my neighbors...out of the HOA I live in..😆

I will seek your judgement again.

Not offended at all. Maybe I'm just biased towards my own exhaust sound but will always take in what others hear as well. Do you have a sound clip of your m40i exhaust? Curious to hear the difference.

At highway speeds while in 7 or 8th gear, I don't hear much drone at all. I can still have conversations comfortably in the cabin.

Most of the drone comes on at lower gears upon acceleration around 2k rpm. It gets loud but tapers off as you go into higher gear.

Take into consideration that I am also running catless so If you still have your stock or high-flows, I suspect it to be a lot less drone.
