Some OEM's have Weathertech manufacturer, put their labels on, and retail them.

BMW makes two different winter mats, low profile and higher profile (as in the pic above). The low profile IMO fits better than the high profile. They hold plenty, keeping in mind your use and the fact they will dry when the floor vents are blowing on them. If im getting in the vehicle with boots and heavy snow, I always clap them off after I sit down and swing my feet in.

Functionally what I like best about the OEM mats is they are a soft rubber (as opposed to hard plastic like WT) which means they arent as slippery and provide better grip when wet.

I have two X's, one in warm climate and one in seasonal climate. The OEM low profile rubber stay in the warm climate year-round because of the constant sand getting tracked in. They are much easier to vacuum off. The warm climate switch from carpet to low profile as the seasons change.

Finally-The rubber OEM wear and look better season after season. They clean-up better than WT and dont look as worn.
This is great information - Thank you!

I know what you mean about slippery as the Husky liners I have in my truck are the same hard plastic. The other issue is the lips interfere with the fold down seats - not sure if the same will be true with the X3M.

I’ll have to take a look at the different OEM options.

And lol on kicking snow off your boots - I do that doo

They don`t look bad for 35... they also don`t look BMW OEM quality. Might just get them as I don`t really need winter mats hence not willing to pay BMW price.

Thank you!

A bit off topic but I can’t help notice the nets behind front seats. How’d you get them? I have comfort package (UK) and don’t have them. Am I supposed to?!

My x3m is a non competition model. It has the standard sport seats. The msport seats have the full plastic back seats and no nets if I'm not mistaken

I have the X4 OEM all season front and rear mats in my X4MC. I test fitted the X4 trunk mat and it wasn't a snug fit. Too loose for my liking. I'm struggling to find one with a proper fit and it's frustrating now that winter is here.

What abt the weather tech mat. Apparently they are laser measured or something like that. The floor liners are a ver nice fit. Would assume the trunk mat to be more of the same

I called them and they wouldn't guarantee the fit. Anyone tried this before?

Can anyone accurately explain the differences between OEM winter liners and mats or X3MC.
I've been told conflicting explanations. From what I gather:

Rubber Mats are thicker, flexible and less of a spill wall. (More premium.)

Liners. thinner more rigid (hard) more of a spill wall.

Thoughts?
Just an update. Picked up OEM front/rear weather liners with OEM cargo Mat.
Liners are a thinner rubber with higher walls and are meant to be placed over existing rug mats, unlike the weather mats which are meant to replace rug mats. Fitment is great. The rear mats do not cover the transmission hump.

Sounds about right but I wouldn't call the liners thin. I have the liners and love them. They do a great job in winter and are high quality. They still have the X4 logo which looks better to me than the weather tech logo.
