It's ~$7k more than a comparable M4 coupe. It's also more vehicle, updated model, nicer interior, etc. It might be more than people think it's worth but it's not out of line on the BMW pricing scale.
M4 far nicer!

It's called diversity

There is a shoe for everyone.

Realizing that everyone is different is the best way to except things you personally don't care for.

lol its American slang for "contact you". If someone says they will "hit you up" it means they will reach out, call, text, etc.

Example-

Joe: Hey Frank want to grab some drinks after work?

Frank: Yea hit me up when your shift ends.

Fan of the X4 over the X3 any day for me. And I definitely prefer a Run Flats they have save the day many of times. Very interesting about the trunk space, I still love the old concept of having a spare. But I've seen the new model vehicles and you lose so much trunk space and it looks like crap, like it's an afterthought.

Obviously wheels are getting wider and that's what we want - better traction. Perhaps the wider wheels take up more space, but I feel they could have better engineered the space underneath the trunk floor. Two older 3 Series we owned had the Sport Package with wider tires and it still had a flush trunk floor, so obviously it can be done.

Really good and important X4 Trunk Space info!

thanks for pointing this out...

So the X4 the trunk actually allows for the spare better than the X3. I am disappointed that the X3, which actually is more useful with regards to storage capacity, appears to end up with a lower liftover height and cargo floor only when ordered without the spare. it's nice and pretty how the spare is covered in both models, however the X3 thread shows that one does lose several inches of load height. I would prefer to avoid runflats,.... while keeping all available height for cargo. i think i would just prefer the lower load floor and will use the rails to hold a spare. I can take the spare in and out....

Why? I'm not being argumentative, my late model Corvette has RF, and I think the tight sidewalls (I think 25 series) make the handling SO much more predictable. My M2 still has some side wall sway with the 30 series PSS's. I never understood why M's wont do RF's when so many sports cars are all in these days.

4WD "Coupé". What's that all about?
Have you driven both?

I went from an X6 to an X5 recently, and horribly miss the seating position and lower center of gravity/ better handling from my X6.

There was virtually no added practicality in the difference in cargo space, I hauled more in my X6 (hundreds of pounds of stone, countless 2x12s while building a deck, and more) than I have ever had to in my X5 anyway.

I made the move so I could move to a 7 passenger configuration, if I didn't need the additional seating (to separate the little ones after the youngest was no longer in a full child car seat they could all lean on during longer drives), I would have taken a loss and gone back to the X6 within about 3 months of ownership. I simply can't get comfortable or enjoy driving the X5 in the same way.

Sadly, the kids keep growing so I'll be trading in the X5 for an X7 next or I'd be all over an X4M.

usually harsher/louder ride and cost more. personally, I'm a big fan of the newest iteration of Michelin pilot tires.
