Love it. Beautiful in that silver/gray exterior too. The only thing I don't like is the tan-black two tone interior. Hopefully all-black M Sport Seats are available.

I feel my X3M build would have to be a touch less expensive than my Macan GTS build. Otherwise I'd be drawn to the Porsche. Of course a test drive might just violate my expectations!

Great job here BMW. 💪🏻

I figured with at least the 100 hp extra, it would be a second faster 0-60 than the M40i.

I was thinking the same thing. Something doesn't sound right. Also seems like the brake calipers look like the same ones that are on the M40i.

I'm sure there will be quite an upcharge to trade in the stock strut brace for the CF brace.

Impressive specs from Bavarian Motor Works. One thing that stood out to me on motor build is a forged crank but no mention of forged rods. Rods (and bolts holding heads without stretching to prevent head gasket leaks ) can be a weak spot when increasing HP with custom tunes. Assuming they know what they are doing though. I personally do not tune at those HP levels but many will. Anyway , thank you BMW for building cars like. Wow!!!

8 minutes in for exhaust, *spoiler alert* don't get your hopes up. Possibly there was a mode/setting turned off since there was no burbles or cracking, and they didn't rev it that high, but it seems like BMW still needs to work on their bi-turbo exhausts.

As R&D began years ago it must've been difficult to see the segment becoming this competitive back then. But replacing the heavy moon roof with CF would've allowed significant weight savings off the 4620 lbs. along with clear handling benefits... Current Wt/HP will be 9.18, well behind SVR at 7.99, Stelvio Quad at 8.51, Levante Trofeo 8.11 but that's a different echelon. Cd x A is 0.969 which isn't bad in this segment. Still places high in the overall grouping with cargo load included.

Looking forward to ordering a Comp, but definitely would've appreciated a lighter topside.

The S58 video says the conrods are forged as well.

Crank and rods are already forged on the B58. I would imagine the same will be true on the S58.

Definitely worth the extra $$$ to get the M seats.

Seat colors, it says sakhir orange/black or gray

does that mean the ones in pictures and an option for black instead of gray? a bit confused by that, the gray doesn't look that good and really would only go with certain exterior colors. I wonder if Sakhir orange and the toronto red will clash?
