My ordered X3M comp is due for completion on December 6th according to BMW. How long does it generally take to get up to a dealer in the northern New Jersey area? I assume it is transported via truck?

Any insights would be appreciated!

My most recent X3 went from build completion to dealer (SW Florida) with 2-3 days approx. Built on a Wednesday, released to carrier Thursday, arrived Friday or Saturday.

Other X's Ive ordered went from order to dealer (Midwest) with 10 days.

Yes, I am tracking it. It went into production on the 25th and is slated to be finished on the 6th (was originally the 7th, but they updated to the 6th when I called BMWNA today).

Sounds like I could be getting the car early next week then! Very exciting!

Yes, that I know and have been. Calling actually gives you more info, such as an expected completion date. Also, the online tracker often doesn’t update. For example, mine has been at production begins for over a week. I know for a fact it’s already been painted. The online system also doesn’t tell you how long it will take from the moment it’s sitting at the factory waiting for a truck to take it to the dealer and arriving at the dealer, which was my question posed by this thread.

Can you provide the number you called? I got my VIN but it has been sitting in production queue for almost a week.

The automated system said 12/13 estimated completion. Waiting for an operator to confirm and check if they have a to dealer estimate.

I always just used the automated system. Did the operator offer you further insights?

Yes. He said that production is usually one day so it comes in and goes out on the same day, gave me the date scheduled for production, and then said it goes to the distribution center. He also said to call back on production day to get estimates on delivery.

Else, I would only see “in prod queue” until 12/13.
