Planning on fitting the MSS kit tomorrow (weather permitting)...all tools are ready but need the correct torque settings for re-assembly. Does anyone have these to share; I'm unable to find on the forum.

Front
Strut to swivel bearing -
Top mount nuts -
Anti roll bar nut -
Track rod end nut -
Strut top nut -
Ride height sensor nut -
Suspension brace -

Rear
Camber arm to bearing carrier -
Strut to camber arm -
Top mount nuts -
Strut top nut -

I have new pins and nuts for the re-build.

Thanks in advance

So does this mean I cannot use my MSS kit on a 2022 x3mc that I bought for my 2020 x3mc? I have not Installed it yet but am Thinking of swapping to a 2022?

Fantastic. Was this the standard drop with the kit? Any spacers in this photo?

1.25" drop.
Yes, this car is using spacer. 12mm all around. I normally recommend 15mm all around.

Since you've installed a lot of these, do the 22' springs look any different compared to the 20-21? I.E. coil diameter or number of active coils.

I would guess the only thing that might have changed is the spring rate.

I'm thinking the same thing. I sure hope someday someone does a definitive test on all these springs for us so we can make a better / more informed decision.

We need more information on: H&R, DINAN, pre-LCI, LCI & MSS springs!

Ben, is this the lowest setup without hitting the stop bump right?

Hi all

I am reading this forum since quite a while now but this is still me first post.

I am driving a 2021 X3M comp with updated istep as suggested by this forum. Actually i am quite fine with the comfort of the OEM suspension overall. Nevertheless, if i drive with low speed over road imperfections, vibrations go through the whole cabine and the interior sounds like it would break apart the next moment.

Do you have experiance whether a swap to the MSS suspension would address this issue? As i plan to stay with this car for some years it would be great to keep the interior rattle to a minimum...

Thank you very much!

Has anyone gone any lower than the 5mm front and 20mm rear thread gap that most seem to recommend? I just had the kit installed today but it seems to be sitting higher than I would like. Has anyone noticed the springs settling down further after some mileage?

Here is stock VS MSS with 5/20mm thread gap

It will be the same ride quality as '20 and '21 with MSS.

Is this a fact? Is the 22' x3m softer than pre-LCI?

That's what others been claiming.
I haven't drove '22 besides around the parking lot to check noises after installation.

I was toying with the idea of getting an X3M to replace my Crosstrek. Different beasts, but I do really enjoy my ground clearance. Do these MSS springs allow for any lifting over stock height? Or is stock height the highest they go?

Late response to your question but

No, the bearings are solid as I understand it. So the vibrations just go right through.

Much of the poor ride is noise you hear as well.

I had a Toyota Minivan that got hit in the rear corner, suspension was unaffected but a muffler was a bit misaligned and hit something on big bumps and made a small noise. Everyone thought the ride was terrible. It was just noise.

You won't be able to do a lift.
But, close to stock height is most you can do.

Just read this complete thread, what an interesting read. I’m currently awaiting the arrival of an 22 X3 M40D, arriving in mid-March. I know the X3M is different to what I’m getting but does anyone have any advice on if the MSS kit is recommended for the 40D or 40i as I assume both chassis’s are going to be similar.
