But I wasn’t rude, I can’t assume everyone is a car guy.
Did you notify the insurance of the upgraded parts when you installed them? I heard it must be in their system documented or they don't cover aftermarket parts regardless of who installed them, wondering if that's true.

Only if your insurance covers the aftermarket products. You need to tell them in advance for easier handling but they covered me for everything. Another adjuster handled my case which was great! My car was so new, I really haven’t had the chance to update my insurance before I got into the accident. Only the exhaust tips were damaged and they fully paid it out for those which was great. I’m getting $1800 for the tips only and I get to keep the scratched tips.

Yea it’s perfect. I had to adjust the angle of the exhaust tips and that was it. Now I’m back on Miami roads driving Miami style. Will drive to Seattle in a month or two.

added oem CF paddles for more gains and confidence

getting into the left release clip was annoying, I recommend a flathead screwdriver, we used a different type of tool. We had trouble aiming it into the guided path for the release clip. Also don't close your trunk after unplugging the battery, that was annoying too.

porkipine69 This is still one of the nicest colors I've ever seen on an X3 M. If they had this color available on the pre-LCI models there's a 99% chance I would've selected it.

got gas cap, intake box, and spoiler. I need to redo the spoiler and use the recommended K1 bonding agent.

is the included 3M VHB Tape not enough? I assumed that adding a few more pieces of 3M tape and using some adhesive promoter would be enough instead of going the betalink route. I personally never used betalink on other spoilers so I'm interested on your take. thanks

I used alcohol and a rag, it’s sticking very well, i repositioned and didn’t put anything else. The sun kept the 3m tape sticky, if any parts lift, I will add some type of glue. If you center it with an even amount of gap on both ends of the spoiler, it seems to be ok. I’ve gone pretty fast several times today and I checked it at the end of the night and seemed to be fine.
