EXPANSION TANK failures.... a thing ??/?

Just wondering if the expansion tank failing is a problem like it is with E46, M54 engines ??
I have a 12 X3 with the N52 engine. Just wondering if you all are replacing them as PM before they fail ??
On the E46, BMW chose to put a 2.0 bar cap on them, which increased the cooling system pressure way more than it needed to be ! I put a 1.4 bar cap on my M54 system and that creates plenty of system pressure. No more ruptured ex tanks all the time.
Does anyone know what the bar pressure is on the OEM cap BMW put on our N52 engines ???
Let us know..... thanks ....

I've been on this forum for several years (own 2012 28i)....I see few remarks about expansion tanks failing, a couple but not like with the older Bimmers. Cap pressure on our car is 20 psi (1.4 Bar).

I replaced mine due to a leak but it was actually the level sensor that is built into the tank that failed. Not replaceable separately though
