MY 2023 Speculation
Anyone have insight for what to expect with MY2023 on the F97/98?
Hoping minimal changes, but seeing where everything else is headed...Will it get the iDrive 8 screen/button elimination? Laser headlights? Any new paint options? Guessing the Jahre badges won't be included. |

My guess is since the G20 was first introduced with all the latest tech...then everything else is following....we will not see a change to the X3 until the new life cycle. They just changed the dash so I do not see them changing it again. I think the X3/X4 will lag behind the flagship G20 interior design. Heck X3 just got I drive 7 last year right?
I would see a change to the light control in 2023. That portion of the X3 is still old tech. |

I'm pretty sure there are no physical changes according to the german clips I've been watching, the XM will be the big change and X platform will change in the g97 or whatever platform when the put the idrive8 into it.

I doubt idrive 8 will come to the X3/X4 but it's cheaper so it might.
It would need a major change if dash and non M cars would likely lose the gear stick too. We've just had the LCI so it doesn't make sense to me. No chance on laser lights - they will remain an option. The engine was updated with the LCI too, so I changes there either. But…. in Europe speed limiters are on the way.

Speed limiters are on the way for models newly introduced to the market after July 22 (I think), not for cars first registered after that date. That's my understanding at least.

Did a side by side compare for F97 X3M and checking all the boxes would result in a $5,150 increase YOY (~6%^). New things I see:

Appreciate the above (and couldn't find drexplode's original post of the guide to appreciate as well). Looks like roof rail deletion won't be an option as I had hoped, so will now order new PS4S for my 2020. Thanks to all for sharing.

Was the Carbon Strut available as an option for 2022? I don't see it on the 2022 Pricing Guide (2022 X3M / X4M Pricing Guide [PDF]). But I have seen a screen shot someone posted having it on a recent build. Is it an option on CA's can see? |

For MY22 in Canada, the CF strut was part of the driver's package (CF strut, CF mirror caps, higher speed limit and M driver training in the US) and was not available as a standalone option. It's possible that MY23 might go that route in the US.
