Apple CarPlay info no longer on Heads up display or digital dash!?

Afternoon,

This is my first post, so firstly... Hello!!

I was just wondering if anyone here who uses apple car play has noticed this change? It did work perfectly, with the directions and media info being visible on the heads-up display and digital dash.... however, after a recent update to the BMW software, this is no longer the case? Also, telephone information was also displayed on the heads-up, but isnt there any longer either? Has anyone else had this issue, is there an easy explanation?

Are you absolutely sure these were displayed in the HUD?

One of the gripes some have (myself included) is that the BMW satnav is shite and the car will only display the BMW nav in the HUD; nothing 3rd party.

As for the media - not sure. I’ve connected my Spotify through the car app and I use that, this does display in the HUD.

Mine was working fine (shortly before someone smashed into it on Friday!). The Apple Maps showed the directions etc on the dash but Google Maps didn't.

Latest software on mine, and all working fine,. You have checked in the settings/car/displays that you have the options enabled?

Just had a quick search and Lexus have the same issue. Only the built in nav or Apple Maps shows up on the dash or HUD. I wonder if this is a CarPlay issue rather than BMW / Lexus etc?

Aah all of them working fine on Android Auto. Waze, ABRP ANZ Gmaps all fine.

Noticed yesterday that mine was sporadic. Did a 1+ hour journey first thing and Apple maps displayed in the HUD fine.

I then did two 15 minute journeys and it would not display in the HUD despite me connecting, disconnecting, turning car off and in etc.

The car was then left parked for a few hours and when I started home hey presto! It was displaying again.

Did you happen to find a solution to this at all? I’m experiencing the exact same thing. It works one day then doesn’t the next, driving me mad.

Same problem here....
Bought the car 3 weeks ago everything was perfect and now waze is not showing directions on my heads up , google maps works fine
My heads up just says searching for a route.
