Have you had the reprogramming retrofit done as well? Mine is still outstanding. I hope it will be done during PDI.

Think that's done over the air, last I heard anyway

No you need a reprogramme to the latest software at the dealers first which allows you to then update over the air. Have you checked your recalls?

Hopefully it will be done at PDI before we get ours

Both of my recalls went to Closed yesterday and the car has been in DE for about a week. Guessing a couple more weeks until it gets shipped then.

Well it's not just our cars here is a email today from a Jetski dealer. I ordered a new Seadoo RXP last year....

Hi Mike,

Like everything there are delays and more frustrating little or no info from BRP.

Your machine will arrive this month, or could already be in Belgium but is missing components like ECU and gauges. This is happening on everything at present but saves the 8-9 weeks transit time from Mexico.

Fingers crossed there won’t be too much longer to wait but I’ll let you know as soon as I have something concrete.

Yeah I think they said to me that is was expected around 31st at dealer. Will actually be 1st at next Monday is the last day they can book an it books for the 1st.

A few of us are at sea now. I would try Genius again to see if it has updated? I find it hard to believe that you would not be on the same ship as we have been neck and neck for weeks.

I even called PL who checked the system
and said it's showing at port still, Unbelievable! Let's hope it's on the Wednesday ship!?!?

"At this time, the car still not reached the UK.

Please be aware that there are some delays at present caused by a combination of increased bureaucracy post Brexit and also the requirement for X3's to have an additional electrical component fitted in Germany before onward shipment to the UK.

I will be in touch a soon as I am able to offer you a delivery date and thanks for your continuing patience! "

I just replied saying it is on a ship and the "additional electrical component" has been done.

Why do we know more than the dealers?

Just received a reply from my dealer this morning after I told him it was on a ship!

"The software update for restoration of the Apple Car Play function is an over-the-air one.

BMW have committed to carrying this out before the end of Quarter 2, so the end of June 2022.

As we understand it, this is done remotely with no visit to a Retailer required.

Once your BMW is in the UK, has cleared Customs and we are in possession of the paperwork, we are approximately two weeks away from being able to hand you the keys."

So looks like June 6th earliest and probably a bank holiday delay. But this is a big birthday week for me, so an extra present!

Just as I reported a week or two ago. I have had to requote my insurance twice as my assumed delivery date has been extended longer than thought.

I am also anticipating a 6th June delivery date too. My initial delivery date was 19 May and as my birthday is 20 May it would of made it would of made for a nice double celebration....unfortunately, it wasnt to be

With the lengthy wait and driving on and off of ships and around technical installation buildings it will be interesting to learn what delivery miles of those cars that we are all eagerly awaiting delivery of. 15 miles maximum, anymore and I will not be too happy!

Can't recall is your car on the Minchah also?
