Connected Music setup

Hi all,

Had M Sport delivered last week and it has proved every bit as fantastic as I was expecting.

I can't however get the connected music / Spotify to work - when I scan the QR code and log into Spotify I get the message on the car screen that my account is not compatible and to upgrade to a premium account.

Can anyone shed any light on how to activate this and get it working?

Hopefully this isn’t a stupid question- have you got a Premium account?

If not there might be limitations on the free account.

It only works with a Spotify Premium (paid) account indeed.

And there was me thinking I would be getting Spotify Premium for free as part of a BMW pack, so I could cancel my current premium subscription and save a few £'s

This was certainly the impression the dealer gave... I'll check and update the post if I get more clarity. thanks

Nope need (and always have even back to idrive6) a full Spotify account.
