It recently was increased again. TBH the easiest thing I've found is to openly ask what the current base MF is as it is not set each month but moves more fluidly and rates are increasing much faster right now. From there you can find out if they are marking up - when you start asking these questions I've never had a problem finding what the current rate is.

I don't think you read the conversation here. I know what the base MF was in January when I bought my X3M comp - I've posted that here. I know it has jumped significantly since mid January. I don't know what it is now - I confirmed the max markup as was asked.
It's pretty simple to ask basic questions on base money rate and what they are marking up - do your own math with those numbers and the truth will be found easily.

I did actually read the last few pages here. I thought you were confirming the base MF rate of 0.00178 and the max rate of 0.00218?

I didn't mean to be rude so apologies if it came across that way. I was just trying to confirm the max markup being the .0004 on top of base. Base is obviously a moving target for those of us that don't see the deals except when we are negotiating or finding someone who has a recent deal that can share. Came across a recent deal (not mine) at .00176 - unless it has increased further I would assume that is base right now. If you know otherwise feel free to share

FYI… now that I’ve had a week to research and ask around, I can confidently confirm the March base MF is .00158. Dealer has ability to add max of .0004 bringing it to .00198, or they could add any number between 0 and .0004

Someone on the 3 series forum referred me to the edmunds.com forums which were very open and helpful. Also confirmed with multiple CA's who were open and straight forward when asked. One disclosed outright that they add the max .0004 for "finance dept profit" and another was proud to say that he won’t "pad" the MF.

Screws those dealers by you. Ones in NJ were asking 5K over msrp on X3M and 3k over x3M40i. Found one that worked with me at msrp. My other option was to order one from NC. Just google the largest BMW dealer in NC and contact them. They told me its their policy not to go over MSRP. Take a quick flight and drive it back.

I've been trying to order an X3MC as well..... 3-month wait and 5k over in most of the NY and NJ dealers I've asked. mind telling me who gave you msrp? I don't mind the wait but 5k over stinks

If you're leasing, check the marketplace section of the leasehackr forum website. When I leased my '22 x3mc back in October I got 6% off and base MF. Obviously those discounts are gone, but the broker I used (nyclife) still has them at 3.25% off and base MF. Yes, you'll pay a broker fee, but it's nothing compared to what the dealers are trying to get these days. He's in Pennsylvania and I am in Oregon and I was still money ahead even with shipping compared to the local dealers. Just my 2 cents.

Take delivery at BMW Performance Center in SC. This way you aren't tied to a dealership's location.

Call around PA near the Phila suburbs, plenty of dealers selling @ MSRP. I passed on one @ Thompson BMW because they slighted me, probably still available.

guys, my MB C43 lease is up June 2023, and MB told me i can return the car now with no penalty, when should I start shopping in order to get the car before the lease is up, if I am in no rush to do it now. I'm unclear about the shortage situation a year from now.

You can probably sell your mercedes right now and even get some equity out of it. It normally takes 4-5 weeks to get one build and delivered if your dealer has an available allocation.
