ARM FMIC intercooler + MHD stage 1

This weekend I got around to installing the ARM FMIC intercooler as well as an MHD stage 1 tune. Intercooler install was pretty straightforward, just cutting one small piece of plastic and then using the stock mounting points. While an upgraded intercooler is not required for MHD stage 1, it made sense to me to do it, better cooling cannot hurt.
ARM claims their intercooler is 94% more efficient, we'll see how it works long term.

I'll probably install a VSRF downpipe at some point, but that will be a bit more of a PITA. In the meantime a nice little kick in the seat of the pants.

Impressive gains if they are real!

(FYI I am not trying to take away from anything by saying they aren't)

Definitely glad to see another intercooler goes into place so easily. Thanks for the info and pictures. Congrats!

I actually agree with you, that gauge is an interpolation, who knows what the actual number is (without dynoing the car). But it's definitely quicker.

Got the same intercooler and FTP pipes. Running BM3 stage 1 and feels much better. The install was challenging but fit nicely in the stock front holes.

Pay no attention to the dash power numbers. They mean absolutely nothing. They just look cool.

So does the arm intercooler require any special brackets like the vrsf intercooler does?

No special brackets, just removal of that small piece of plastic shown in my pics -- I used a dremel.

its on the passenger side, if you go underneath and test fit you will run into resistance. you will need to trim (about the size of a stick of chewing gum) to make room

I believe op used a dremel

you can always contact ARM support and they actually can provide pictures on the location.

best of luck!

I just noticed in the photo of your sport gauges it shows 400HP. Is that a coding change as mine only shows up to 320 hp. My fake dyno needs updating haha.

Happens when you flash tune, BM3 + MHD does it to my knowledge.
